I'd be willing to bet that most regulars here would agree with me. What is tolerated where blacks are concerned is pathetic and shameful. IMO, in many cases it's outright bigotry and racism. And Muslims are basically off limits.

No we are not, the difference is that when it's targeted against blacks, they are slick about it. Calling us animal names or doing in a roundabout way so when they are called out about it, they can say they meant something else. But with muslims, for some reason there's no filter. They can't hide their hatred of Islam so it's easier to see and stop it.

There was a thread here a while back showing a Muslim cleric talking about when it was ok and how to beat your wife properly. It didn't last too long. Yet day after day the same few users ridicule blacks and talk about them in a demeaning manner and nothing is done. There have been far more threads closed here concerning Islam than there have been with blacks. Calling blacks animal names should be quite apparent to anyone on the moderation team. A few years back, Jew bashing was the rage, and Christians have always been fair game.

Bashing blacks, Jews, Israel and Christians is commonplace and evidently acceptable here and has been for a long time. However, do not say anything negative about Muslims or else you will face the consequences.

Can we discuss what law abiding firearms owners get called? People exercising individual rights. OMG if I took offense to that I would vibrate and explode. I'm armed so...who cares?

Calling PEOPLE by animal names is common. People are called "sheep" when they just go along, "skunks" when they are not attractive or not welcome, "snakes" when they are not trustworthy, "weasles" when they are sneaky and "wise old owls" when they are clever. Animal names are the most common for sports teams, Lions, Tigers, Bears (OH MY!) Panthers, Cougars, Cardinals, Eagles, Falcons...need we say more? Patriots? #######? None of it. NONE. OF. IT. Has anything to do with race. NONE.

Saying that an indivdual behaves like an animal when he behaves like an animal is not a reflection on that person's race. Imagining it is ...is just nonsense. I mean, how bad do you WANT to be offended if you have to do that?

As far as Islam threads, I take no interest in those so who cares?

the problem, the real problem, is the people that see RACE as the reason for every disagreement. Thinking people disagree, and you can disagree with me for reasons which have nothing to do with race. But we see comments that people are racist when they say NOTHING racist! But someone else says "Well, we KNOW what you REALLY mean!" Really. So no matter what, if I disagree with that person I am a racist. If I give non racial reasons for my disagreement it is because I am REALLY a racist but not saying so.

That's just horse-squeeze! It is put forth by people that lack the ability to present a logical argument and can do nothing but scream "racism".

I have no time for such "bird brains" (and that is not a racist remark)

This is because you only have one or two blacks here at one given time. Myself and Gowon on a good day. I can only imagine what was going on here before I started coming in. It's not just being critical about the religion. Time and time again muslims come here and try to educate folks about Islam since folks love to talk about it but not learn anything but the negative. Our religion doesn't have a problem, folks within our religion have a problem.

But there is a distinction. If a white catholic goes on a killing spree, the religion is never brought into question. They only want to know if it's Islam. We will never know what Adam Lanza or the rest of those killers religion was. We know what the boston bomber is.

To my knowledge Adam Lanza's religion was not associated with his act, if I am wrong please correct me, but if it were I am sure we would have heard about it. On the other hand, the Boston Bombers scrawled a manifesto in BLOOD on the inside of that boat they caught him in. Their religious beliefs were the catalyst for the act. That does not make YOU bad or any other Muslim bad...but it explains why it is discussed. We may also point out that Muslim Chechens have been doing this for decades in Russia and the FSU. And if you think you even have some sort of patent on racial or religious hatred, you have not been to eastern Europe.

When Adam Lanza went on his spree, you and others attempted, or wanted to, strip the rights of every law abiding gun owner in this country and called us every thing under the sun...OMG not to mention what NRA members have been called. Please, stop the whining. If I were offended by everything said about gun owners I would die of an overdose of offense.

You wanted to ban guns you don't like...what if I wanted to ban religions I don't like? You wanted to require background checks for every gun sale between every individual in the country. What if I wanted background checks for the members of every church in the USA?

I have never suggested banning your religion or your right to practice it. I never would no matter how many of its members are terrorists. I never even make a personal attack on you or anyone for their race or religious beliefs. Yet you take every opportunity to attack me personally for owning and using firearms. I agree with you on most things, but you miss the point sometimes.

They tried to take away YOUR guns because of what Adam Lanza did. The right to own thise guns is the 2nd Amendment, right after the 1st Amendment which allows Marvin to practice Islam in this country. And free speech. You want to talk about a group of people being judged because of the actions of a few?

Forget about Lanza's religion. No one is trying to ban Islam, it is not even suggested to be restricted in any way, yet Marvin was all for taking away YOUR guns because of what Adam Lanza did and then says we should not judge HIM because of what other people of his race or religion do. He is such a hypocrite I want to puke.
