Who wants to hire a black guy when he might scream racism every time something doesn't go his way? (See recent trial and the aftermath) What if you have to terminate him for some reason? Is he gonna come back and sue you for discrimination? That study didn't take that into account.

It's a cop out. First, it's we have every chance that you have. Then when it's pointed out it's not an even playing field, we're the victims.

Here's a free lesson for you: If a person claims racism, they will always have proof, documentation, evidence. You can't do that and have a crappy work record, it's makes you look stupid. Folks have evaluations, recordings, eye witness statements. If you get fired because you suck, it's not racism.

In the suit, former manager Kai Hawkins, said that her boss threatened to fire her unless she hired more white employees. Nicole Codgell said in the suit she was fired the day after the company’s senior vice president for store operations toured several outlets and sent an email to lower managers, “African American [sic] dominate — huge issue.”

Also in the lawsuit, senior vice president Barbara Bachman was accused of commanding managers to “lighten up” the staff in stores serving mainly white customers, and informing one regional manager that she must have “lost her mind” to put a black person in charge of a certain store.

So Marvin bringing another say 50 million undocumented families into the United States will help or hurt the black unemployment rate ? At an inner city high school in my area the average black student misses over 50 days/yr for whatever reasons.....Would that carry over into an employment situation? A family member adopted a black baby over 20 years ago, She has married a black man they have 2 children. This husband beat her up and broke her arm. he was working a 14/hour job. They own their own nice hud home they bought for around $70,000 . With both parents working they can have a decent lifestyle. Husband was thrown in jail for a week for knocking the wife around. Thus he lost this job. I could go on with this story but it seems that some people shoot themselves in the foot. I understand this could happen to a white person ,,,, Would this black man being hired and then fired because of attendance have anything to do with the next black person getting hired... One wonders.

Because I'm one of the few if not only black regular poster in this forum. I want to make sure people know we are not animals. I can't speak for everyone but I can speak for me. And if I can dispute it or shed some light in an otherwise dark room, I will do that.

It always suprirses me that posts like that are tolerated. I don't really like censorship, mostly I think it does more harm than good but whether or not the posters here realised what they were posting doesn't change the fact that what was being posted was pure bigotry. Apparently bigotry is ok as long as it's not aimed at a specific poster.

Jesse Jackson and one of his extortion rackets made a fortune out of threatening companies for whatever they thought was racism.

Any perceived slight, now matter how small and BOOM, off to court with a lawsuit with the hope it get's settled out of court and the lawyer can get his cut. And of course the judgements are always confidential. Cost of doing business I suppose.

As to your link, there's plenty of companies that market their products to black people, who I would assume probably don't hire many whites or hispanics, but that's cool. There's pages and pages of websites devoted to marketing to the black population. Can you imagine what would happen if a company came out and with a marketing campaign about the best way to reach white consumers?

As I've stated about 100 times before here, I know racism exists, but it seems to me the pendulum has swung too far in the other direction now. It's getting to the point where people are just making $hit up and calling it racism. At some point people need to start taking personal responsibility and stop looking for the racist that is always out to get them. The blaming gets old.

What gives you the authority to declare that black people disproportionately blame their personal failure on external circumstance? Do you just enjoy making this ###### up or have you been hoodwinked by those who actually have an agenda to persuade you that this is what is happening? If you think this is true, show me some proof. Because in every case I've ever seen, there has been proof, emails, recorded conversations, witnesses. If it were that easy, don't you think folks could get rich by just saying racism without any basis? That's the first thing they ask for is proof. You can't say I got fired, those people are racists, without something to back it up. Hell, I should just quit the military, get a regular job and sue them for racism on the first day.

As for your claim about black companies, let me explain something to you. With the exception of the NBC and CBC, there is nothing whites or hispanics can't get into. FUBU, BET, NAACP, you name it there are non black in there. What you are clearly overlooking is the desire to work in black companies, or go to black schools. Name me the last time someone was like, man I really wish I could go to Moorehouse College, or dude, I would love to work at the NAACP. A majority of whites don't want to work with all blacks. In order to keep you out, you have to want in. Bad press seems to be nothing new for Abercrombie & Fitch. They are know for being terrible. Stores allow white employees to work the front house while Asians, African Americans, and people with prosthetics work in the back, away from customers.

I got a black man working for me and I pay him a good wage.

He shows up on time with his pants pulled up. Works his ####### off and is putting 2 kids thru college, even got one in Med School. He arrived here 5 years ago with nothing and is already about to buy his first home. He speaks better English than many of the black youth I encounter daily.

Oh yes he is from TOGO in Africa. He and the other 15 or so people from his country are all doing well and moving up the economic chain. One of his buddies from TOGO already owns 7 rental houses.

He is shocked that native born blacks can't seem to make it in this country, as he thinks the USA is the land of opportunity. Actually he is not shocked.

Why is it every immigrant group including Blacks from other countries seems to not have any problems with getting ahead or Racism holding them back, but the native born blacks just can't quite seem to prosper, but blame it on racism. That dog just does not hunt anymore.

If that were true, it would be ridiculous. I expect it's simply ok to bash all groups as long as you do it in such a way as moderation consider it to be an opinion rather than an expression of bigotry which seems to me to be the way moderators manage to avoid removing some offensive posts and not others.

I'd be willing to bet that most regulars here would agree with me. What is tolerated where blacks are concerned is pathetic and shameful. IMO, in many cases it's outright bigotry and racism. And Muslims are basically off limits.

Again, if that is correct it's shameful and moderation should take a long hard look at their policies.
