Of course all of those that got caught out being so concerned with my avatar tried to make it sound like I was caught lying. Whatever. Even today I have been accused of "bragging about my cars" A Dodge Caravan and a Yaris? Seriously?

If I said "A person can reduce their hours and income and still make as much money with welfare benefits" would it get as much discussion as saying that I am doing that? If I applied the real world numbers to ME and my family...what happens? OMG! That was 9 months ago and you are still talking about it today! Plus all the people that usually support welfare sudeenly were calling me some sort of trash for "being on welfare" I happen to support the idea of welfare but also support a way to get people off it.

Why would anyone hate that? Sounds like everyone wins in this situation. If you've helped Alla's family live a better life, then that is a good thing.

It is safe to say that OUR family, Alla's and mine, has helped many other people.

For the benefit of Marvin...Alla's largest interpretation client is the hospital, her 2nd largest is "Association of Africans Living in Vermont" (AALV) Many of the Africans speak Russian due to Soviet influence in Africa and they use her as an interpreter when they cannot find someone speaking their first language. She gets a sizable 1099 from them every year. And NO she is not a volunteer, she is earning a living. Be that as it may her services are available for anyone new to this country. She has taught many Africans in her ESL classes.

However she DOES volunteer for the Hospital's Ronald McDonald room helping people who's children are here for treatment. She does this because in her opinion (rightfully so) the Hospital "saved her husband's life" and she feels she "owes" them

I do not apologize for making things better for my family, that's my job, I hope others with children from countries that do not speak English understand that they and their children CAN do well here. A FAMILY helps.

I am on the Gary program. Damn putting all my money in and never getting anything out. I got free VA health care. I am going to figure out how to get my claws into SSI and Medicaid.

Just formed an LLC and put 400,000 into equity into it. I am about to go on a HUD buying spree. By from the GOVT for pennies on a dollar and rent to the govt at dependent sheeple at 4 times the nut.

I'm American so I just assume we can push our way in, take any woman we want and make off with them. Seemed like that anyway. I was the same. I had no clue what I was getting in to. I actually used to read lots in the upper forums and you, Darnell and a few of the others always had good thoughts on many subjects. (That's right, even Darnell.) This site was so valuable to me, but I'm like you, I wish I knew about it before the whole process. It would have been a lot cheaper for sure. I even used to try to help people till I realized the only things I was telling people was already on this site in mulitple, mulitple, muliple, threads. The P&R forums are right enjoyable though, even if they are similar in redundancy. For internet forums, these are quite tame and its small enough to get an idea of the players.

Except the Gary program never saw $400,000. I have kids with college educations though and no student loans!

Oh well, we all invest where we choose. I had bought a place on an island with an older house and a lot of property and lake frontage. I was going to live in the old house, build a new one and then tear down the old one. Best laid plans of mice and men, eh? But it turned out to be not a good location when Alla and the boys were added to the mix so we had to sell it...barely broke even but had enough for the next place in town which is more suitable than living on an island, but the prices have not increased much so nothing doing in that area. But we have a nice house in a good location so who's to complain? I never had a lot of luck in Real Estate, Best to just hang onto my house and live there. Good luck to you though.

Nothing here could possibly affect me emotionally. As I have said many times , if you take any of this Pontification and bloviating seriously you need help.
