Asking the CO if IR-1 or CR-1 after approval in the interview

I know I asked this if we can ask this with the border patrol officer at POE...but can we ask the CO as well after you were approved? Would it be proper? Risky?

If on the day you enter the US you have been married for less than two years (and you have a CR-1 visa) then you will receive a two year conditional green card.

If on the day you enter the US you have been married for at least two years (and you have either an IR-1 or CR-1 visa) then you will receive a 10 year unconditional green card.

If it's the second circumstance, make sure you inform the officer at Secondary that you've been married for at least two years, in case they don't catch it.

It's not risky, but there really is no point in asking the CO. There is nothing they can do, they have no discretion in this.
