Charles loves dog, and so do I, BUT we don't ever agree on breed, so we agreed he will chose the breed, because he likes big, huge dogs and I like beagles and bulldogs, anyway, I said 0k, let me choose at least the name.

Anyone want to help me with female dogs name, as u know I named my cat Nietzsche because it is not an usual name, and I don't like to have a name everybody has, so since I love Star Wars (yes I am lame) I was thinking about naming our dog Padmé. What do you think??

i wont ever let him choose the name, he will pick some lady name like samantha, or something stupid, trust me, i willl choose the name

oh, answering you, german shepherd or golden retriever, I don't like german shepherds much, I would prefer a golden retriever.

I tended to wait and look at my dog (or cat) to get a sense of their personality before sticking with a name. I like uncommon names as well. My last dog was an Akita - she had the brindle pattern - kind of like a Hiena (sp). Anyway, she was beautiful but a bit scary looking if you didn't know her. We ended up with the name, Misha (pronounced - Mee-sha). I thought it fit her personality and looks.

hehe, I like Padmé the most, she and Anakin are my favorites. So since it is going to be female, Anakin won't work.

I'm really excited about this dog, I've been so bored here, since I can't work and when Charles is not home I don't have anything to do... I'm glad we have 2 cats so I can clean their mess, but they are quite clean, I bet a dog will give me some work to do in the house. Yeah, I know, I am weird

Dobermans aren't BIG. Medium maybe.

I usually wait til I have an animal and can look in its face to see what its name is. Except when I got George. I just picked her up out of the car and said "Hi George". And Bruno came with his name.

I've had cats named after a whole bunch of Star Wars and other SciFi characters. I had a cat named Bones (Star Trek), and another named Gizmo, we've also had Yoda and Chewy and Freddy (after Freddy Kreuger in the Elm Street movies).

Name it whatever you want. But it probably won't respond unless you train it anyhow. I had one dog who wouldn't respond to anything but "Dog". His name was Speagle.

We have a Labrador Retriever and his name is Marty. Everybody I meet says that the name is perfect for him...he really is a Marty. there is him, graduating from obedience school.
