I'd like to know that too. I spent a weekend there about 6 years ago on a fishing trip, nothing but shotgun shacks and outhouses. We were supposed to be there for 3 days, but cut it short by one, we couldn't get outta there fast enough. I seriously thought I was in the movie Deliverance.

My experience isn't ignorant, nor is it a stereotype, I was there and saw it with my own eyes. Who cares if there is a castle in Ashville, is that what makes it one of the "happiest" places? I wonder how many slaves it took to keep that castle up and running back in the day?

I think it's funny how some folks use the reasoning of "people flock here in droves" to point to the US as such a fantastic place to live. Take a look at where these people are flocking from and there's no wonder why they want to come here, or any other country that would give them a better life. If a person lives in squalor or is being oppressed by their gov't, it makes perfect sense that they would want to get out. That by no means makes the US the be all and end all of Utopian countries, it just means that the US is better than where they came from.
