They say that to everyone. You can keep calling them or even email them using the info in the link in my signature below this post, they will not reply to the email with your MNL # until your file has shipped to USEM but that is a good thing also

I waited 10 days after NOA2 before I started to call NVC, there is no sense in calling NVC until they have your file from USCIS.

Your timeline is blank so I don't where you are in the process.

We are waiting also for NVC to issue our MNL# and we are also getting that answer of 8 weeks. But, like others are saying, just call everyday (ppl are saying to call around 7:30am EST as operators are waiting) till you get your MNL # and then get it in writing through email and then you are "off to the races". dancin5hr.gif

Yes, standard answer. Kept calling NVC so after 10 days what I did on my situation was to call USCIS and spoke to Tier 2 rep. and sure enough, even though I've got the txt & email NOA2 approval, my file was still with USCIS and ready to be shipped to NVC. The next day called again and confirmed/given a date as to when my file left USCIS. Only then was it forwarded to NVC. Few days later NVC confirmed receipt of my file and then 1-1/2 week later was given MNL Case #. Best of luck to you.
