are you in the USA? if so , please call DoS Hotline and inquire about that stuff.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

ok - so no news of getting it out the door and into any courier service or visa packet pickup location.

I say wait.

My wife's visa showed issued on 31 July & it got updated on 2 August.

Is it normal or should I be worried about?

I called DOS yesterday and they told me that ur visa is issued.

issued always means that the visa printer successfully spat out the visa.

There's other stuff that has to happen, after that.

In no particular order:

VISA glued into the passport.

entire casefile (I-130, I-864, DS-230, civil docs etc, medical exam) along with the passport is bundled up into a visa packet.

Visa Packet is logged.

Visa Packet leaves the IV Unit

Visa Packet arrives at the pickup location or courier service..

---

timeticks that DoS Hotline will report, when calling:

Visa Approved

Visa Issued

Visa Packet Sent

-----

So, without any 'Visa Packet Sent' status or timetick, I'm guessing the visa packet is still inside the IV unit; either there's a queue or people are actually doing work to create the visa packet.
