Hello everybody,

I just received notification that a visa number is avalible for me (after 10 years waiting - Brother of US citizen) and I can start consular processing. I have some questions:

I am divorced since 2011, now I am living with somebody since 2012 and we are doing planning to get married. Can I married now and include her in all this process?. What is the best practice in this case?.

Many thanks,

Alain

to answer your question: yes, you can get married and include her on your petition. you will need to notify NVC/consulate about this. you will also need to have proper documentation regarding your prior marriages.

Thanks for your information. Honestly I'm quite surprised to hear that your PD is 09/22/2002, b/c the current visa bulletin date is 06/22/2001 and nobody has received notifications to start their case since early 2011.

What type of documents did you receive? Is it a DS-3032 form (choice of agent and address), or is it a letter or anything from NVC?

I received a letter from NVC telling me that my case is now elegible for further processing at the NVC. The letter contains a DS 3032 that I have to fill (already did and sent to NVC)

I was suprised too, i Thought that i have to wait a least one more year, but i called NVC and after 30 minutes waiting the operator told me that my case was ready on December 15, 2012 for further processing.....

Are you sure you're in F4 category and the notification is for interview,or it's for choice of agent ?

choice of agent....

I forgot to tell you guys that my petitioner also received the AOS invoice.

I remember I received those letters 3 years ago just before the retrogression. Probably the NVC is working differently now.

Note: I am also from Venezuela, my PD is 09/21/2001 (F4) and I am still waiting for the I/L. But definitely your case may bring good news to all of us.
