I need some serious help in my Fiance visa process. Very confused. I called Mumbai US embassy just to check if they had received my case from NVC. They said its ready for interview and emailed me the appointment letter. I told them that I don't have packet 3 & 4 and they said its fine and pointed me their website - http://mumbai.usconsulate.gov/. Now I don't know what to do? There is also registering online but cannot move forward in it b/c it is asking for MRV reciept #(not sure what it is?). And what is IV Address Registration? - I do not see K-visa option in there. I am totally confused so any help would be nice. Not sure what my next steps should be???

HELP!!!

PS: My fiance is in India just in-case its not apparent.

I was on the same boat as yours.I never received any appointment letter.Called New Delhi embassy to find out that my Interview is scheduled on 19th of august.Just go through all the information on the embassy's website and you will be fine.I know its really frustrating. The call center agents have least knowledge.Go through the travel.state.gov website for all the details of for the interview. You need to register till step 7.You can't pay prior to interview for K visa.MRV receipt is the receipt of your payment.Still call the embassy or write to them,if you have a doubt. You need to register for the document delivery address and create your profile in there. You need to carry a printout of the document delivery address at the time of interview. The printout of your email is your original appointment letter now.Start with the passport and police clearance right now,if you haven't,coz it would take time and also get a medical done,so that your reports all ready by the time of your interview.Hope this helps. All the best.
