Hi

Sorry i actually running here and there as i am lost now .Our case was reaffirmed on 22nd july and then there is no response from even from DOS i called dos they say yes my case has to move from USCIS but uptill now its not there .So i called USCIS but i am confused where to go as i cant understand where to go and i also read i lot of forum that person who talk to you on phone regarding your case will not be so helpful as they have to so i dont know what to do?

How long i should wait now to get my interview date and who will contact me DOS or Embassy?

Do i start collecting all the document again which i submitted to NVC?

Pakistan embassy work slow and this is going another killing game so do i keep try to contact them every day or should i wait ?

When i call Dos for further assistance i mean to know my current case status?

Do my this interview will be same as the previous or it will be more strict i mean i read on other websites and forums that the 2nd interview is more hard or tough then previous one?

Should i take permission for my husband to be with me in my interview or he can go with me without permission?

Plz reply it help me a lot as i am looking here and there without finding the answers

Waiting for your reply.I am posting since many days but no one is replying me .

I will be very much thankful if you help me.

Thank you

Your husband does not need permission he can go with you to the interview at the embassy in Pakistan.

It takes time for your case to move from USCIS to the NVC. You have not given it enough time. It could take 30 or more days to reach NVC.

The embassy will contact you when they are ready for new documents and medical. At this time your husband can order his tax transcripts and hold on to them.

The 2nd interview is usually more tough than the previous one it is good that your husband will be with you.

Relax, relax, relax this is a slow process it takes time. Once your case reaches the embassy they will need time to review it before they contact you for another interview.

Agreed, Listen to Carolyn she knows the process of this route. For your second interview PREPARE for it rather then going in without preperation for your interview. Preparing for your interview means go over the documents that your husband has submitted and YOU should also know what documents you have submitted and what information the documents contain. Practice being interviewd if you get nervious for the interview. My wife when she was at the interview... noticed some of the women being interviewed did not know were there husband lived, worked, what type of work they do. Some did not even know the family names or how to spell there husbands name. In the interview they are varifiying the information you have provided to them with you in person. The only way to make an error in the interview is either by mistake or carelessness during the interview. Some peoples files do get red flags based on particular demographics of cases. It coudl be a variety of reasons... but if you feel there is no reason any issues with your files then you need to prepare for your interview and do a better job. Best policy is just be honest. Also if you do not feel confident speaking english give your interview in Urdu and not english.

But my case will be forwarded to DOS not to NVC and i talk to visa expert in DOS an he told me that yes my case will come to DOS but right now the USCIS completing the process and i send an email to NVC and this is because i read in different forum that people keep sending email to NVC then after long time they will reply. And this make me afraid that my this interview will be more tougher then the previous one.May be my husband will help me to answering the CO i mean he will not answering them he will atleast tell me the answer and he will be my translator .I am keeping my finger cross now. Some where i also read this that it may be take to 4 months to transfer case.We start to have his one year tax transcript with me and some people on some other forums telling their experience say they got a reply in 2 months wow must say they are really very lucky.

Our case is also red flag so i have no idea how to prepare my self for interview .This time when we were replying to their question which they ask in the noir i my self prepare all the documents and send to my hubby and he make the answers with the help of attorney so this time i think ( not sure) i will answer them more better then previous and last time i took translator for this i pay high cost i got denial because my husband and his attorney thinks that he creates problem because he by himself didn't understand what the Officer actually ask me.And where i go to get prep for interview i mean for guide line or to read some people who give their second interview and got success.I am thnak ful to you both specially to Carolyn who guide me alot.

All reaffirmed cases must go through NVC first. It is NVC that sends the case back to the embassy not USCIS. The person you spoke to at DOS told you the wrong information. They do that sometimes.

You prepare for the interview by knowing the answer to all the questions in the NOIR. Know where your husbands works and what he does at his job. Does your husband have brothers and sisters? Know their names and where they work. Know as much about your husband's ex-wives as possible. Know why he got divorced.

In the interview they can ask many questions. I can't tell you all the questions they might ask. Just know as much as possible about your husband even his favorite color. Sometimes they even ask about your sex life. If a married couple has not had sex they can deny the visa.

Thank you again every time vj friends always help me .Good point you tell i will ask him about where his brothers work,i know his job yes as i told earlier that i prepared this time NOIR doc by my self and then i send to my husband where he and his attorney give them final touches .I have now all the answers of what they ask in noir this time yes we have wedding night so i can talk about our married sex life too .

I send an email to NVC but no reply from them somewhere i read that they put aside in dos or in uscis when they want to ignore the matter.i dont know why they give me wrong info.

It will be 3 years in coming feb i mean on 23 feb 2014 will be our 3rd anniversary i dont know did i ever join him or not will i start my married life of just dreaming about it.Also let me know that that my case again go to same CO who took my interview last time.If yes then i must stop prep for interview and looking here and there because was very struck and i dont think that she will consider to approve my visa.No hope.

Don't get hung up on initials. NVC is part of DOS, the part of DOS your petition will pass through on it's way to the Embassy in Islamabad, also part of DOS.

That's about right, yes. I would say three or four months from reaffirmation to interview is a fast as you can expect but it might take a month or two longer.

The visa will be IR1 if issued after two years of marriage. The status will be IR1 if entry to the US occurs after two years of marriage.
