After the Congressional Dems were shown to be dickless this year when faced with unemployment if they voted for gun control, it was widely believed that gun sales would finally drop from their record high levels since Obama's campaign to increase firearms sales had begun.

While sales of so called "assault rifles" have come back to their normal, increasing, sales figures, small concealable handguns continue to boost the bottom line of companies such as Sturm, Ruger who heavily market such handguns and whom have added such innovation as an "all plastic" revolver in recent years.

The recent use of a concealed handgun to defend against a brutal criminal attack by George Zimmerman in Florida has boosted the demand for concealed carry classes and licenses throughout the country, including in churches and such "liberal" enclaves as Madison, WI. People are simply realizing you cannot order a police officer to deliver a gun when you need one. They offer no delivery guarantee. While George Zimmerman pleaded with police to investigate a suspicious person in his neighborhood...he waited and waited for police until this very person attacked him with vicious "MMA tactics". In addition to a cell phone, George Zimmerman also carried a gun.

While the story would have faded without notice had the initial assesssment that it was legal self defense prevailed...Racists and people with an agenda to strip Americans of rights demanded a "trial". What was on trial was actually the right to defend oneself if the assailant happens to be another race...and the right to have a firearm to effectively defend oneself against brutal attack. Foricng a well publicized trial simpy demonstrated that it is indeed a good idea to be armed, that we can indeed defend ourselves even if the assailant is black and that when you need a gun...you better not depend on calling police to bring one.

Demand for classes has gone through the roof as millions more people want to arm themselves as George Zimmerman did.

In December, 2012 Illinois was ordered to stop its oppression of civil rights and allow its citizens to carry concealed firearms. This proven crime reducing tool was fought against by the State's Democrats in charge for as long as possible. Fearing that the 7th Circuit's ruling would be extended to ALL states and not just IL (the only state in the 7th Circuit oppressing people's rights) the Dems of IL were ordered not to pursue the case any further and to fall on their sword and STFU!

IL residents with CC permits from other states were allowed to start carrying concealed handguns in December, 2012 under the reciprocity requirement. Homicide in Chicago has since plummeted 25% over last year.

What it means is that 20 million new people have been added to the list of potential CC holders and the resulting demand for small handguns and CC classes has been overwhelming. Until IL gets properly supplied with arms and ammunition we can expect some continuing supply "pinches"

There are 79 fewer dead people in Chicago this year...most of them young, black men who now have a better chance at the future because they are alive. THAT is good news! As the number of concealed carry holders expands to hundreds of thousands, in IL instead of tens of thousands, the crime rate will drop further. More lives will be saved.

Nationwide, crime continues to decrease as the sales of firearms increase and concealed carry licenses increase.

I guess Obama HAS done something productive.

Yeah in a strange way Obamer has turned out to be the Eduction President. people who knew nothing about magazines and military style weapons now understand that these guns function just like every other semi-auto..... even if they look more scary.

People have also learned that when Team-Obama talk about "reasonable gun control" .... they really want to take stuff away from the average guy (or gal.)

I wouldn't blame Obama for his utter inactivity in passing sweeping gun legislation.

But yeah...your rights have stripped and Obama is to blame for sales. Ok...

No kidding! It's the ridiculous claims Obama is after your precious guns, not the debate over reasonable gun control measures which turn unreasonable by the morons spewing the claim and the bigger morons buying into it fueling gun sales.
