U got interview date after two months. That's a long gap...

No. He waited a little over a month for the I/L.

Now, the interview letter is given ahead of the interview date itself (a month in advance) to give the beneficiary ample time to get the medical and other paperworks to be completed.

You don't get I/L and the interview date on the same month.

Hi Omnia...I called NVC 9:30am US time (Oct 2, 2013) and they told me about my interview sched and now at 1:07am US time (Oct 3, 2013) got my letter of interview..
