It's great that your embassy has a list like that, ours don't. sad.png

Maybe because you got CC on the last week of Sept and didn't make it to the cut-off.

Yea same thing with my embassy :'(

BTW so what will happen will they stop the interviewing if the govt shutdown goes into effect? Something tells me that they won't stop b/c afterall how will the country function if people dont get their visas and don't travel?

This is becoming so frustrating :'( - Imagine you call the NVC and instead of their standard 20 days or 30 days statement now with this budget crisis n all they might be changing their statement to "you must wait for at least X number of days for processing" because even they wouldn't be able to predict how many days LOL

It's great that your embassy has a list like that, ours don't. sad.png

I don't think NVC or the Embassies will be affected by that "shutdown" rumor. (Isn't that rumor a yearly thing? reading.gif)

It could be that:

1. Case didn't meet the cut-off because CC on the last week

2. NVC has moved the I/L distribution to any time within the FIRST to SECOND week of the month (as they did in the past)

The question I have is that in on a lot of sites it says US embassies will still provide services to US citizens, but it doesn't mention anything in particular about US perm residents like us? - Does anyone know or can anyone call the NVC or the DOS or their embassy to find out?

Thanks

Does anyone else's Embassy has a list of interviews scheduled? I know Polish and Indian does, but they don't have November posted yet.

I haven't seen any F2A in the list for Turkey for November. It could mean that November cut-off date will be um.. somewhere early 2011.

Ok guys this is an interesting question for all of you. Lets say someone delivers a baby before the interview occurs, they can get that baby added to their case correct, now here comes the other question, lets say you just got done with your interview and you then you give birth, how many days after you receiving your stamped passport can you add your child to that original case.

I know for example they give you 6 months to enter the US, so is it that you have to get it done anytime before those 6 months? I know this may sound weird but people for one reason or another might not be traveling to the US the very next day they get their visa, afterall people have to wrap things up there, sell assets, yada yada yada etc.

Any ideas?

It depends on how fast YOU can provide the child's official birth certificate, passport, new AOS form and pay the IV fee. This may all be country specific.

If you need longer time to finish your business, enter the US (before the visa expires) then go back to your country.

Any ideas?
