Hi all,

This may be helpful to understand what Nobrains was saying. Mumbai Consulate provides the info:

http://mumbai.usconsulate.gov/interview_appt_schedule.html

http://photos.state.gov/libraries/mumbai/395145/pereirals/Updated-SeptemberIV2013.pdf

And, I hope all are familiar with understanding the NVC case number. The split is as follows:

first three letters denote our embassy code where interview will be held

next four digits denote year when NVC received your case

next three digits denote ordinal date of the calendar when NVC received your case plus 500 (ex: if NVC received your case on August 5, 2013, then this will be 717 (add 217 to 500)

last three digits denote the number of your case processed on that particular day (ex: if it is 009, your case was the 9th case processed on that day)

Here is a link to find ordinal dates from the internet:

http://www.fs.fed.us/fire/partners/fepp/julian-calendar.pdf

Good luck everybody.

I sent another filled form to my husband, because NVC requested us to bring it to an interview, instead of sending them.

It was a second checklist for AOS, and they probably realized that it was their fault that they didn't say anything regarding this N/A at the first place. So thanks God, they didn't make us wait another 20-30 days to review this N/A thing.

The first checklist was because the income of joint sponsor didn't match that on the tax returns.

For all those who submitted ds260, did you get any email/information from NVC 3-5 business days after submission?

I haven't heard from them yet.

Shtu, you got checklist for not putting n/a? But isn't on the AOS instruction it says if the answer is not applicable of none, leave it blank? 'Cause that is what I did. I hope I'll not get any checklist due to that:(

Hello guys, I just sent the ds 261 form ( online choice of agent) now what, wait for NVC to contact me for further process.........?

You can check if you can already pay the AOS and you can prepare all the documents that you will need in preparing I864. Don't forget to print your coversheet after paying your AOS. Browse the NVC thread to guide you in some of the forms you need to fill out.
