HELP PLEASE I just found out that NVC didnt accept my marrige certificte I want to know if I ask them to transfer my case to the consulte and thenI will bring it to interview is that possiable becasue the lawyer told me that worked for some people

i would call them, here in forums I also heard that people has done so.

July 11, 2013 - NOA 1

September 12, 2013 - Transfer to Nebraska

September 20, 2013 - Case touched

November 14, 2013 - NOA 2

Case shipped to DOS - November 19, 2013

NVC Stage

December 11, 2013 - NVC received my case

December 30, 2013 - NVC case number issued

January 2, 2013 - NVC issued invoice number

January 13, 2013 - DS261 filled out

January 15, 2013 - AOS invoice received and paid

January 17, 2013 - AOS package sent

January 21, 2014 - Fed ex delivered package (NVC confirmed receipt on 22nd)

January 21, 2014 - IV fee invoice received and paid

January 22, 2014 - IV documents sent (payment in process but cleared from bank)

January 23, 2014 - submitted DS260 form, iv documents delivered per fedex (24th per NVC)

February 12, 2014 - received fake checklist for IV package

February 21, 2014 - Case completed (by phone)

April 2, 2014 - Called and got interview date May 13, 2014

May 13, 2014 - Counsel needed some time to to review docs

May 27, 2014 - Interview round two and visa approved

Hi all

Just an FYI, my case was complete on January 23rd 2014 (according to NVC) Case Complete (CC) email arrived January 30th 2014. I have just spoken to NVC today (February 20th 2014, 15:10 EST) and they informed me I have not yet got an interview scheduled, when asking them if they generally get scheduled towards the end of the month, they stated there is no general time frame and is dependant on availability at the Embassy at the time. They also recommended that I await the Interview Letter (IL) before booking the medical exam.

Not sure what this may mean to anyone else but if it helps at all, then great.

Either way, I still wait

I called them many times and they said the same thing but the reality is that they do schedule the interviews end of each month. Normally the last three days. Most likely you'll get your IL end of next week. I even called them on the day that I got my IL and they said no interview yet but later that night, I received the email.

September 12, 2013 - Transfer to Nebraska

September 20, 2013 - Case touched

November 14, 2013 - NOA 2

Case shipped to DOS - November 19, 2013

NVC Stage

December 11, 2013 - NVC received my case

December 30, 2013 - NVC case number issued

January 2, 2013 - NVC issued invoice number

January 13, 2013 - DS261 filled out

January 15, 2013 - AOS invoice received and paid

January 17, 2013 - AOS package sent

January 21, 2014 - Fed ex delivered package (NVC confirmed receipt on 22nd)

January 21, 2014 - IV fee invoice received and paid

January 22, 2014 - IV documents sent (payment in process but cleared from bank)

January 23, 2014 - submitted DS260 form, iv documents delivered per fedex (24th per NVC)

February 12, 2014 - received fake checklist for IV package

February 21, 2014 - Case completed (by phone)

April 2, 2014 - Called and got interview date May 13, 2014

May 13, 2014 - Counsel needed some time to to review docs

May 27, 2014 - Interview round two and visa approved

Hi can anyone tell me how long it takes to schedule interview at mumbai consulate? My case got completed in jan 21, still waiting... Is it because i am falling under f2a categotery? Plz let me know... I ll be so helpful thank u thank u

Did you get the email on Jan 21st or got this confirmation via phone. If you got the info via phone and your case was indeed completed on 21st then you may have to wait until next month end for the interview date. Sorry you may be one of the unlucky ones, my case was completed on phone on 20th Dec and got the IL only end of Jan. however if you got the case completion email today then there is a great chance that you may actually get the IL before the end of Feb for an April interview.

NVC

2013-10-10: NVC received the case.

2013-10-15: Received Case number, IIN, Beneficiary number

2013-10-17: Received AOS and IV visa fee invoice email and paid both.

2013-10-21: AOS Fee status changed to PAID.

2013-10-21: IV Fee status changed to PAID. DS-260 is available.

2013-10-26: AOS Docs sent/IV Docs sent/DS-260 Submitted Online.

2013-10-28: NVC received the docs in the morning(Based on Fedex tracking).

2013-11-21: Checklist.

2013-12:20: Case complete : By Phone

2013-12-28 : Case complete email from NVC

2014-01-29: Called DOS for Interview date. Set for March 21,2014.

2013-01-29 Night: Interview Letter by email.

2014-02-03: Finished fingerprinting and Photograph at VAC

2014-02-08: CEAC status changed to "Ready"

2014-02-13: Medical scheduled

2014-03-18: Will try to fly out to Mumbai to be with my wife for her Interview. Not sure if the embassy will let me in but at least want to be there. :-)

2014-03-21: Interview

2014-03-21: VISA approved as per CO. We were told to expect the passport in 3-5 business days.

2014-03-21: CEAC Status"Issued" SAME DAY.
