I just called nvc and the lady said that they received both my packages on 19 aug and i have to wait for 30 days ( time for reviewing my docs) :( idk why she said 30 instead of 20?? And also asked me to submit ds260 and AOS online. Previously i submitted ds230 but now she wants me to submit this new forms also:(

Maybe it's whynthwt you have not submitted ds 230 yet so they request ds260 , but if your iv document has been accepted you didn't need to fill up that form .

My F2A journey:

USCIS:

Sep 2011: I-130 sent

Sep 2011: Priority date

24 May 2013: NOA2(after 606 days: 20 months)

11 July 2013: IV & AOS package sent,

7 AUG 2013: IV accepted

7 AUG 2013: checklist for AOS Packages

14 AUG 2013: responding to AOS checklist

12 SEP 2013: Case completed,(after 105 days)

Ok, I have called them to ask about interview date and decided to ask about DS-260 as well. They said that they've closed our case and don't need anything from us. Only consul at embassy might ask us to fill this form.

So, as I understand that anyone who isn't case complete might be asked to fill DS-260 online. This shouldn't effect folks who are case complete, at least until the interview date.

Our checklist that beneficiary has to bring to an interview is actually for the form they requested in first checklist. I didn't realize it until I sent the corrected one to my husband.

We didn't alter the form except what they asked for the first checklist, so it's so strange!

Is there anyone with pd August 2012, waiting for NVC to contact? It's been a month I have not heard anything from NVC.

You don't wait for NVC to contact you. You have to call them and ask if they already have your case number and invoice identification number (IIN). You can call now, they have 5 hours till they close. Goodluck!
