Hi All,

Is there a way to check the Status of the application once you submit 260 and mailed the IV Documents ?? Or just wait for the case completion email from NVC.

Also At which stage does NVC asks you to go for a Medical Test. Do they do it as part of scheduling an Interview?

Thanks

Can't check the processing of the case online. But you could call them and check on the case. Its been 18 business days since NVC received our AOS and IV docs and i was getting little anxious. Called them today and for the first time person at NVC was kind to me(I always come across some rude person) and told me to call back on Monday for an update on the case. She told me that our case is being reviewed right now.

On your second question, as far as i know (F2A, India) medical is done as part of the interview.

So that it might help others filing AOS. Got an email for AOS checklist for the following.( I missed filling those up)

In Part 4. Information on the Sponsor, please correct the following...

[x] Item 12. As the petitioner sponsoring your spouse or child, you must indicate whether or not you are currently on

active duty in the U.S. armed services.

In Part 6. Sponsor's Income and Employment, please correct the following...

[x] Item 10. The current annual household income must equal the sum of items 5, 6.c., 7.c., 8.c., and 9.c.

Ah... when did you get your checklist? today?

Both questions were answered on my I-864. Did not put N/A for Part 3(2a to 6f) since it is not applicable to me. So don't know if i will get a checklist for that. :-)

Yes...got it today afternoon via email. I had called yesterday but got the usual 30 day response. They got both my AOS and IV on Nov 7th ( a day before yours I think).

You also should hear something from them soon. Hope no checklist ...

Good Luck

You need to scan the green cards of your children and explain that they are already in u.s. You can send it thru an email. That's what I did. smile.png

hi..after series of calls with NVC they informed us what to do.. they advised my hubby to send a letter (via email) to NVC to have my daughter removed on the case...no need to send them a copy of the greencard .. a letter stating that the kid is already in the US is more than enough as what they said...

my hubby actually paid for the IV processing of our daughter as well bec we got worried that it might delay the processing of my case if we won't pay hers.. that is fine as well as what the NVC said ,.,.. my hubby just need to send a refund request after a week or 2...

what was your checklist about plz ?

I'm upset. First we had been waiting for a three weeks until the NVC received our case. Then we were waiting three weeks instructions and number from the NVC. In October we filled DS-260 and only today we've received the following letter from the NVC. Case is moving forward very slowly.

Why so slowly? 4.5 months have passed since my case had left USCIS. But case continues to be not approved.
And case probably won't be approved this month. cray5ol.gif

Agree. I wish NVC takes a leaf out of DOS's book on customer service. All i have got from NVC (except today) is sarcasm. I made a call last week and made one today. Once a week is still good i guess.

What are the dates of holiday in Nvc? So that we all know when we get case completion?

Dec 25th and Jan 1st for sure. Won't be surprised if NVC resources aren't at the full level during the week of Christmas.
