Well for one - point them towards that telegraph internal memo document and what that says.

And 2 I've been told different things from 3 different people at the NVC when I contacted them about my AOS checklist - I wasn't satisfied until I spoke to a Supervisor - I think you should contact a Supervisor as I will try to tomorrow morning.

At the end of the day, if we have to fill it out we have to fill it out, nothing much we can do about it really! :'(

You have to sign in on the site. Enter your case# and IIN. There you will see if you need to fill up the DS260 or not.

I called NVC a little while ago and YES the lady said I have to submit the DS260 even if I already submitted the DS230 and civil docs to them.

What should we answer here?

and all these embassy pages says :

Effective September 1, 2013, the DS-260 Immigrant Visa Electronic Application and the DS-261 (Choice of Address and Agent) will replace the paper-based DS-230 Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration (parts I and II) and the DS-3032 (Choice of Address and Agent). Beneficiaries submitting new cases that arrive at the National Visa Center from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on or after September 1 , 2013 will be instructed to complete the DS-260/261 in lieu of the DS-230/3032. We will not require DS-260s for beneficiaries of documentary qualified cases already in process at NVC on September 1, 2013. For all other cases where NVC has occasion to send a “checklist” of missing documents after September 1, 2013 NVC will instruct petitioners/agents/beneficiaries to submit the DS-260 along with those missing documents, even if a DS-230 was already on file. Those filing petitions locally with USCIS Nairobi on or after September 1 must submit a DS-260 once the petition is approved. Beneficiaries MUST enter the principal applicant’s DOB in YYYYMMDD format in lieu of an “Invoice ID” on the DS-260 login page.

My question to you is what prompted you to call them in the first place? Did they send you an email about it or something?

They did not email me.

What prompted me to call is because I checked the DOS webiste and it says I have to submit the DS260.

Have you checked yours at the website too?

I don't think it says you have to file it out. I just think it is available to fill out if your IV fee has been paid. It doesn't mean that you have to fill it out. I don't agree to that.

turkey embassy :

All immigrant visa beneficiaries, who are required to submit DS-230 application forms to National Visa Center (NVC) or to the U.S. Embassy Ankara, Turkey on or after September 1st are now required to fill out the electronic DS-260 and DS-3032 forms, unless otherwise directed by NVC or the Embassy. Those immigrant visa cases which are identified as documentarily qualified by the NVC before September 1st will not need DS-260 forms. For all other cases, NVC will instruct the beneficiaries/petitioners/agents to fill out online DS-260 forms.

i know apple, but my believable idea is we have to wait until they notify us on checklist (if applicable) which they would send .

i think one people who is case complete has to try the web site in order to check weather it's available or not for him/her (ds 260 )

if it was available it maens that it appears for every body for IT's fault . but if it doesn't , it means that every beneficiary who can see the ds 260 on his account ,should fill it up !

My IV package is already accepted, as confirmed by the NVC representative. The only checklist I received is for the AOS.

I'm sorry for blurting out. This is so frustrating. I am merely sharing what I found out today. If you guys don't want to believe me, that's perfectly OKAY. smile.png

This process is taking a toll on all of us.
