Wow... I think this is how one would feel after being released from prison for 2 years... dancin5hr.gif This have been the most depressing and sad two years of my life waiting to be with my beloved wife...

Celebration time yayyyyyy. Not long now - You are def looking at a feb Interview :)

Yes. It is, I think, the neatest alternative when submitting tax proof. If you don't send transcripts you would have to send copies of your returns with W2s and all the other forms... I think it is way better to order a transcript http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Order-a-Transcript

Those who don't have a joint sponsor but the petitioner is living with parents and 2sisters but parents are supporting sisters, Will that be an issue during interview? Petitioner doesn't have dependents per ITR.

i don't think it would be a problem, since his itr shows he has no dependent.

hi Apple..yes he was an F2B beneficiary before.. and what happened was.,,, my daughter's greencard got lost in the mail.. they did not actually receive it.. according to USCIS it was delivered but unfortunately no one was there to receive it.. they tried to deliver it twice but it was still the same.,.. then my hubby requested for a card replacement 4 times but until now they're not receiving anything.. when i called nvc they just asked if my kid has already greencard (i guess they know that it was not delivered) i told nvc that my kid doesn't have a greencard yet but they already requested for a card replacement.. and yet my question wasn't answered..

but i think i should just ask my hubby to do the same thing like what you did... he should just call nvc about it.. and maybe they would accept the immigrant visa copy on my kid's passport since she doesn't a greencard yet.

hi!

In my case we ignored the IV invoice for my 2 kids since they are already in the US (F2b derivative of my husband). My husband only paid for my IV fee and didn't do anything about my kids being invoiced too. Then upon reading this, (was worried I will be asked to submit proofs that my kids are already in the US...and will only delay the process) i logged into my CEAC account and it shows this:

IV Application Processing Fees: Paid

Number of IV fees: 3 Paid: 1 In process: 0 Not Paid: 0

Not applicable: 2

I'm not sure...but it says Not applicable. So I'm hoping it's just OK that we didn't contacted NVC about the iV invoice.

Hi all,

We just paid the IV bill, currently waiting for the DS-260 form to be available.

Our AOS and IV documents are en route to NVC, should arrive at NVC next week.

I can't find DS-260 instructions document that explains the questions, etc like other forms.

Are there questions that are in DS-260 but are not in DS-230? If so and you remember them, can you tell us what they are?

I just want to make sure that there will be no surprises when filling out DS-260.

Thanks.

i am not familiar with ds-230 but ds-260 is just everything about the intending immigrant, basic info. about the immigrant like name, educ bacground, parents info, your address, info about your spouse, your passport info etc, there are also some questions that is answerable by yes or no, and most answers are No.

Please read the first post of the thread where Saylin talks about DS 230 and DS260 (differences) She also has a link to screenshots of DS 260. Having said that DS 260 isn't too hard in my opinion. Couple of things to watch out for.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/463192-nvc-filers-november-2013/

1) In your I-130, you would have specified the beneficiary's address (present one) and indicated the time from which he/she is living in that place. In the DS 260, you need to make sure there is consistency between what you entered in I-130 and Ds 260. For example, lets say your spouse has been living in the address from July 07 and that is what you entered in I-130 then make sure you enter July 07 in DS 260.

2) In the previous address section make sure there is continuity. For example if your spouse lived from July 04 to July 07 make sure it is the case. DS 260 won't accept if you enter it as from July 04 to April 07. It won't take it if the dates are more than 30 days.

3) Overall, be consistent with what you entered in your I-130.

Goodluck. :-)

Here is a question i hope someone will help me with,

We have used an attorney , what my question is is this - my husband sent in two years of his tax returns to attorney whom then sent them to NVC, what is it i will need for my interview in regards to his tax ,

Is it the last 3 years of tax returns that he filed or is there something else, as i keep seeing IRS mentioned.

Look forward to your reply's ty.
