Sure thing -

They asked her when did we get married, how many times did I come to visit her in Pakistan, was it a love marraige or arrainged, why did we go to Iran (we went for our honeymoon and also for religious pilgramage), asked what work would she do when she moves to the US, and asked about me about what I do here in the US and where do I live and few simple other questions etc. That's pretty much it. She said they didn't ask her for any proof of relationship evidence, they just saw some of the marraige pics and said that's enough. She took a big album with her so they said that's way too many pics. But I think the more merrier no harm in taking that many if you ask me.

Her appointment was for 7:30 AM and she finally had the actual interview at around noonish.

Hey guys!!!

Im back with some good news. I was busy. Just got the time to update you guys.

My wife had the interview on Nov. 3rd. She got accepted and she is in the US with me.

The process was a bit different than what I expected ( or rather remembered from my case and my dad's case).

She had her interview in Abu Dhabi UAE. I had mine Italy couple of years ago. In my case NVC scheduled the medical and it was a day before of the interview. With Abu Dhabi we had to call the hospital directly. Also in Italy, the result was sent to the embassy by the clinic. In ABu Dhabi she had to go the next day and get a sealed packet.

Oki doki, so let me breakdown the whole miserable trip

2 days before my flight they emailed us that the embassy is closed on the day of the interview (sigh...) and that they have moved the the date from Sunday to Wednesday. My wife was already in Dubai and this was kind of unacceptable. I emailed them and explained to them that she is there and we will be leaving UAE on Saturday. There is no way they can prepare everything in less than a day since Friday and Saturdays are the weekend in UAE. They were super cooperative and moved the date from Wed to the previous Monday.

We showed up at the embassy and they kind of refused to let me in. I explained that this a marriage based interview and I am the sponsor. The Indian guy in charge of the entrance acted like he is doing me a favor by letting me in. We got it, got a number and sat there. In 25 minutes they called her number. We went by the kiosk and they asked me to sit down and have her be alone!!! (No one likes me ). Basically they wanted to talk to her alone. After that they asked her to do the biometrics and sitdown. In 10 minutes, they called her name on the speaker. We were directed to a room for the interview. I got in and the officer was behind a glass. I spoke English and he responded back. He was this blond blond American dude. As soon as he saw my wife he switched to Farsi. I have not been this shocked in a while. His Persian was so good:D He basically said "Ms. XXX? Come in and sit down". Then you looked at me and told me in English to go out and wait (again no one likes me:D).

In 4 minutes she got out and told me that she is approved.

The office did not look at any of the documents we brought. Not a single one. No financial documents, no pictures, no proof of marriage. We brought 4 albumbs of pictures, skype and Oovoo chat and call logs and etc. They did not even look at the original docs.

He asked her:

1) How did we meet?

2) whats my job?

3) Whats her education?

4) Why havent we lived together?

Her response to the last question was that we were waiting on the GC process to be done.

Thats it. He told me that she was approved.

He gave her pink slip and told her to come in 3 days and get her passport, visa and the packet.

Weird part, they made everyone register for Postal services as they mentioned specifically that no packet will be given in person at the embassy. Everyone has to retrieve their docs through the postal station...

Any how, we had to make another trip to that city to get the stuff. I got the ticket for the same day and we flew back on the 9th.

OMG!!!!today its 24 business days of AOS checklist and 19 working days of our IV docs but i have'nt call yet...!!!so i have a question fellow VJ's, after they reviewed our docs are they gonna send us an immediately email if we got checklist?

Sorry about that, I hope you hear good news soon. It has been 19 working days since our IV docs now and 21 days since DS 260 and no updates yet....I called them Monday and they said 30 working days so guess we just have to wait and we may miss the January interview.....

Just state in the letter that your mom arrived in the US that year and has no income. That's what I did for my mom when she submitted her AOS for my sister. It got accepted

Happy to share that we got approved today. Thank you VJ for help!

We had a lot of relationship evidence (skype call and chat log, mobile messages bills, 2 photo albums, joint bank accounts, utility bills, join car insurance, boarding passes, and some other) and I (petitioner) was also present at the interview. This is probably why we had only a few questions asked.

First worker:

1. Is this our first merriage?

2. Who is *****? (my father, who is co-sponsor)

3. Asked to provide all evidence we have and some original docs.

Consul (asked me to wait and talked to my husband only):

1. How did we meet?

2. Does the petiotioner live in the US or Ukraine?

got another AOS checklist which was samething of my 1st checklist before...they are looking the proof of relationship of the co-sponsor, which i sent it already before a MC of my sister indicated her husband and our parents name..but they wanted a BC of my sister and mine...gosh!!!but another checklist was they are waiting d civil docs of trvelling applicant which we gave it already...but they said they just received yesterday!!!what the hell....no choice but we need to send again the AOS checklist!!!so sad ?
