Yes the priority date needs to be current even on the day of the interview for an immigrant visa. I just hope things don't change or only move forward in terms of VB. It's 10 working days for me since our documents in their system. I hope I can have CC before 20th of Nov for an interview in January. Congratulations to all who have received their IL and good luck to all waiting.

i just received this email . do you guys think it was transferred to nvc

Application Type: I130 , IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN  Your Case Status: Initial Review  The I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283. 

It means that your I-130 is now being processed at your local USCIS office. Your local USCIS will review your application, and they will be the one who make the decision instead of CSC or VSC.

Guys, I have few concerns.

I got a checklist on october 17th regarding my I-864 The next day I mailed them a new one and they received it on 21st october and is in the system.

NVC has also received my IV documents on october 10 already and is in the system as well.

My concern is that,since the 1st checklist ,I have already received 3 checklist letters that says nothing but asks me to provide the Financial support document to be sent again which I already did on October 18th.

I am not sure why NVC keeps on sending me meaningless checklist cover letters.

Any one been through similar scenario?

I wish my fellow VJ'ers from philipines strength and safety ....stay safe guys....

Hi Mutu!

I don't know if this is similar to you, but I also got a false checklist. When NVC reviewed my AOS, they generated an automatic e-mail asking me to provide my wife's civil docs which I already had submitted like two weeks before the checklist. I called NVC and they told me that if I was completely sure I had sent the civil docs that I didn't have to worry about the checklist. They also said that if the don't request any specific docs it's a false checklist, but if they are requesting you to send a specific doc then you should send it again. You should call NVC and find out what's going on.

I am also assuming it to be a false automatically generated checklist since I am receiving it on kinda daily basis.I received the same checklist yesterday and today which has nothing but the cover letter.

It means that your I-130 is now being processed at your local USCIS office. Your local USCIS will review your application, and they will be the one who make the decision instead of CSC or VSC.

Is this is a normal process? has anyone else experience this before? does this mean more fast process or delay?
