I suggest instead of waiting for your case to be completed - you should wait for the October visa bulletin to come out - that will be more critical for all of us :P

Because it takes NVC a month for them to review the AOS or IV package. My stupid checklist will probably take a month too to be reviewed unless a miracle happens. laughing.gif A month (Sept) wasted away.

If my case is not completed, its useless even if my PD is current. Case completion is IMPORTANT. Without it, our case will not be eligible for embassy interview.

What I'm interested in is the NOV VB because there's no way I'm getting interviewed in Oct. rofl.gif

Never say Never - technically there is a very slim chance - if your case is approved and when they go to schedule your case someone who had theirs scheduled suddenly reschedules and that slot opens up - since you are next in line you can get that spot - but again that happens very rarely.

Case Completion is important no doubt - but would you rather have your visa in hand this November or next November or the one after that ??? Some people in Pakistan have had to wait for up to and more than 2 years after their interview.

When did you send your IV package? Like you, I'm waiting for my IV to get accepted too. My AOS has been accepted. I'm just hoping we won't get any checklist for IV. Good luck!

Both packages were delivered on Aug 5th to NVC. However, one was entered into the system on Aug 6th and another one on Aug 8th. Since AOS is already reviewed, than IV package is the one that was entered on Aug 8th. Still a big question why there was a delay in entering it into the system. I am sure the cover sheet was there and the correct one.

When did you send yours packages?

I sent my AOS and IV separately. My IV was delivered on Aug 6th but they entered it on Aug 8th. So I'm waiting patiently for next week.

Hello apple21, please excuse my English , but I want to know something : What would happen if my case is complete and the October's visa bulletin does not cover my priority date (May 14/2012 ) . How true is that some people are saying in other forums, that althoug the case is complete, if my priority date is not available, the nvc will not assign to me the interview.

Thanks

There are 2 factors that has to be met in order to get an interview letter.

First: Case must be completed at NVC

and

Second: YOUR priority date must be earlier than the cut-off date posted on the latest visa bulletin

If you don't meet both, no interview schedule.

If NVC has completed your case and you were given a date for interview, I believe you that you still need to go for your interview and let's hope that by then your priority is still current. I don't want to give you a lot of hopes but I had a strong feeling that by next release of VB, your priority is current. I don't think the date will set back to 2011. But of course, this is just my opinion - who knows right?

To answer your query - I think that NVC will not issue an interview letter until your priority date is or will be current. If ever, you got the interview letter and you passed your interview and your priority date is not current, you will not be given a visa until your priority is current again. But of course, this is all up to the immigration officer.

"Have faith in God, Jesus answered. I'll tell you the truth. if anyone says to this mountain, Go, throw yourself to the sea, and that does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen. it will be done for him. Therefore I'll tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours" (MARK 11:22-24)

Thanks a lot jhunjhun and apple21, I just waiting this next week to be completed, it will be the 3rd week, since I submitted the corrections from a ckecklist that I had. In the other hand My IV visa form was accepted in 23 calendar days, so in name of god the cut off from october don't cut our hopes.

Interview schedules for October has already been given out since last week. Given that your case be completed this week, most likely you will get interview letter on the last week of September for the November interview (provided the NOV 2013 VB cut-off date is after your PD).
