first you should call the nvc and find out about whats going on with you case. and second i don't think AOS department would request civil documents. in some cases if they completed your Aos package then they send you a checklist so you can review your civil document and make sure there is no any missing documents etc. they are just reminding you about next steep and what you need to send with iv package.

i received a checklist requesting civil documents in the same day my AOS package accepted which i already submitted all civil documents.

I called them. First he said you need to send DS 260 and supporting documents. I said, I did about a month ago along side the AOS. Then he perhaps looked closer and said , yes there was packages received and entered system on September 25. Then he goes " I am requesting that they review your DS 260 package" !!!!???? and you should give it another 30 days.

Well, I kind of asked if he can give me a reason why the package have not been reviewed since September 25. Ofcourse, he did not have an answer.

I just hope he knows what he is talking about and the package is somewhere safe. All original documents are there and that makes me very nervous. But, based on your experience with your case, looks like I am not the only person getting such message despite NVC having my IV package at their disposal.

Fingers crossed Tebessum. Hopefully, nothing is lost.

hi guys . i m from india . i obtained my police clearance certificate from local police station. now i need to get passport clearance certificate from passport office. do i need any notification from NVC to get PCC thai i mentioned below ?/

Indian Police Clearance Certificates should be obtained as follows:

• All Indian IV applicants aged 16 and above, residing in India, should obtain police

certificates from the local Passport Office.

• Indian passport holders applying for visas outside India should obtain a statement from their

local embassy or consulate confirming they have no criminal record.

• Non-Indian IV applicants residing in India should obtain police certificates from the District

Police Station serving their area of residence.

• Indian police certificates are not available for foreign (non-Indian) applicants applying
