F2A filers waiting for CASE COMPLETION from NVC

My case was completed on 17 oct, just received the case complete email ) i am soo happy this journey is coming to an end soon IA!! Guys how much time they take to send the Interview letter?

We can expect the I/L last week of Oct up to first week of Nov.

Guys,

As you know my case is completed on Oct 17. I had submitted DS-260 on 09/05 online. At that time my wife had old passport with her maiden name. Now she has new passport with married name and of course with new passport number.

I do not see any way to edit that DS-260 online.

I have following questions:

1. How to edit it?

2. Will it affect the completed case by any chance?

3. When should I edit it? After interview letter or before? I do not want to jeopardize anything now.

4. Should I just tell at the time of the Interview that we have a new passport with married name? Will that be sufficient? Or it will create any issues in the last moment?

I had new passport information one month back but I did not want to add another 30 business days for another review and miss December interview. I hope it works out well for us.

I plan to renew my passport to change my name once I get my I/L. I was told by NVC that I can just bring my old passport and new passport to the embassy. They will make the change there. I hope this works out for us as well.

You can simply ask that to the NVC operator. They will tell you if they have already accepted your IV package or if its still under review.

paper-based DS-230 Immigrant Visa Application. The DS-260 must be completed when NVC is still

missing documents or information to complete your case. You must complete the DS-260 in order to be

eligible for a visa interview.

Nice people of this forum. I have a concern/question that someone might have an idea about.

I received a checklist (unfortunately ofcourse) . The checklist starts with the notion that they are still awaiting my civil documents !!!! and then a couple of items that needs to be furnished in regards to AOS.

The thing is, I sent both IV and AOS packages separately but at the same time. Delivery was done for both (confirmed) and I even called NVC and they also confirmed getting 2 packages a day after delivery.

Do you nice people think that they asking for civil documents is because the people who do AOS are separate from people who do IV reviews and since packages sent at the same time, AOS group does not know about IV group?

Kind of worried of why they do indicate that they are still waiting for the civil documents even though they have it. Anyone can give me any clues in this? I ll sure call them, but a quick input goes a long long way. Thanks to all.

Hi guys i am abit frustrated was able to get through NVC operator, i asked about my case number - it was said that we have to fill up DS 260 form online however it will take 30 working days for the case to be completed feel bad with our atty cz it seems he too primitive & too slow processing our case im loosing hope to get IL end this year probably get one Feb or March
