oh boo we got another checklist- for applicants birth certificate!! im alittle confused since we sent the original.maybe they lost it? good thing my mom have another certified copy of my brothers birth certificate.

GUYS,my wife has lived in india till 2010 from 2006.Does she need to have a police report from india as well for that time period.I am in the phase to submit her civil documents to NVC.I already have a police report for the current birth place she is in at the present but not from india.Any idea guys?

Yes, she will need a police report from India. A report is required for every place she's lived for six (6) months or more since the age of 16. ~~~

U need to go IOM office. Pay the required amount of fees. They will have ur chest x-ray, all body check up, vaccine u, checks ur blood. If everything goes well u will finish on same day..if they doubt u they will call u again.

Hey guys! Working on IV requirements. Apple 21 or anyone from the Philippines, is the Police Clearance an NBI Clearance?

Police clearance is for those who have lived/worked abroad (outside the Philippines) for 12 months or more. You need PC from that foreign country.

NBI clearance MUST be submitted for applicants 16 years old and above. Get the GREEN one, for travel abroad.

I hope you don't get a "hit". Mine has and it took 3 weeks for my NBI clearance to be released, but good thing I applied for it right after I got my NOA2 so by the time I needed to submit the civil documents I already have it on-hand.

Eep. Definitely hope not! My past NBI clearances have always cleared. My name's apparently unique pheww. Praying for no complications for anyone with anything!

I can't say for sure. It depends on ure embassy. Some allow you to present the missing docs at the time of the interview whereas some do not. How long will it take her to get the police report from India? ~~~

I would say around 7-8 days including the courier time span as well.I have already initiated people to work on it so that if incase I need it,I have it in hand even if I need to submit it to NVC.

So,I am trying to be proactive,since I need it anyhow.
