After waiting 9 months to see my boyfriend again (he lives in the USA, I'm visiting from Australia) I realize I have screwed up with my return ticket!! I booked and paid for it for October 16, but I need to leave October 15, which is the 90 day mark.

To change the ticket I am going to have to pay up to 700+ which I don't have, and my insurance won't cover it.. So ####### can I do? If I lose my WVP right I can't come back :'(

What day did you arrive?

What day is stamped in your passport to go home?

What I am thinking is that if you can get to the airport super late on Oct 15th, get through security, etc. and get your exit biometrics done before midnight, that should officially "exit" you from the US and you are in an international area of the airport and just wait for your flight there.

That's a really good idea.. But my last visit here that was all done once I got to Dallas (I have to fly Atlanta to Dallas to Australia) so I may have to look into finding a way somehow to Dallas early... This is so stressful D:

I arrived July 18 and was stamped to leave October 15, which is the 90 day mark.. My return ticket being for the 16th :(

What exit biometrics ? Did you ever fly out of US ? He is not out of US until flight takes off... There is no international area in US airports (except for arrivals of course), international gates are right next to domestic ones.

It may work, have to go through the POE, then airport security, then locked up way in the back and find a comfortable floor to sleep on. Or may even find a kind person that will put you on standby for an earlier flight. Or just come up with the 700 bucks somehow.

Another option, not cheap is to file for an I-539 non immigrant depending on your status for 375 bucks. If you overstay your I-94 for any reason, will hurt you for the rest of your process.

Not the same country I grew up in, other reasons for delays, weather, mechanical failure of the plane, since I was traveling a lot, always last minute changes, could pay a cash difference or even get a refund. If weather related or mechanical failure, airlines would put me in a hotel and feed me. That is history, mechanical failure of a plane caused my wife to miss her connecting flight, not only had to pay for her motel and food, but had to constantly call and wait in long lines for the next available flight. She was stuck there for three days! And even had to pay extra for that last flight, and this was with the same American Airline and it was their fault, not hers.

We seen people locked up in an airport for five days due to poor weather. And waiting in security lines on some flights was three hours longer than the flight itself. And can't even bring a can of coke aboard, have to pay fives bucks for a sip.

We also recently had to cancel a flight where we only received 60% of our paid ticket for my wife's mother and due to no fault of hours, she needed permission to visit and her consulate was so slow, missed it by a day even though we gave them plenty of time. We could have paid three times the amount for a refundable ticket.

WHAT are you talking about? There's no extension allowed on WVP. She'll just have to pay the ticket change if she hopes to use WVP in the future.

Sorry, missed WVP, was answering in general, so sue me. Hope my other suggestions may help here. Have far more experience with that I-94, some POE's were more liberal giving my gal a couple of extra weeks, others the the exact date on her return ticket and she had to be on the plane at that exact date. Or we would be in deep trouble.

Can you check tickets a couple of days before it too or would it be the same fixed price for changing it?

I'm the beneficiary.

If she left the US and returned (even a day trip) does the 90 days start over? If so an Atlanta Detroit flight can be had for around $200-$300. Fly to Detroit (or any border city with a low airfare) cross the border, have lunch, and return.

No, any visits to Canada, Mexico or the Caribbean inside of a VWP trip will not alter the 90 days origally given when she entered.
