  1. 1. I have a gun on my person. Am I looking for trouble?

    • Yes. You cannot carry a gun unless you are looking for trouble.
    • No. You can carry a gun and go about your everyday business.
    • Maybe. You might do more vigilante style profiling than normal.

whats the harm in having guns registered ? its paronoia to think that the government will then come and collect them, unless of course they tear up the 2nd ammendment, but then they would have to rely on the army to support and execute that decision which would risk mutiny, maybe even rebellion ? nobody is after taking away the right to gun ownership, but the control of how and who owns guns is the crux of the matter isnt it ? The fact is that unlicensed guns and guns passed onto to 3rd parties get lost in society and undesirables get their hands on them which then leads to the arguement that more guns are needed to stop those who shouldnt have them using them,we can argue all day long but strict gun laws and ownership leads to less gun crime, canada is an example.

What you have stated above is precisely where we are now. People that shouldn't have them, already have them. Lots of them.

At work, I'm stuck with IE.

Bummer.

It is funny though. TM/GZ and handgun classes all in one screenshot. Gotta love that.

ETA: That just gave me a great idea. I think I'll start a company offering concealed carry classes strictly to young black males. I could have an ad campaign with GZs picture on it with a caption that reads "Don't get caught walking home unarmed at night with your skittles and Iced Tea. This guy could be waiting for you."

I'd be curious to see if all the 2nd amendment folks would have an issue with that. Maybe they wouldn't.

You probably should become aware how insanely easy it is to get a restraining order against someone. In many states that causes confiscation which can costs thousands to get the property back.

We must be able to arrest people before they commit crimes. By registering guns and knowing who has them we can do that... If they have guns they are pretty likely to commit a crime.

If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States for an outright ban, picking up every one of them ... "Mr. and Mrs. America, turn 'em all in," I would have done it. I could not do that. The votes weren't here.

All those quotes from the early 90s and you still have your guns?! Amazing.

A person cannot buy an AR15 in NY State as of January. Amazing

They did try to push that through Round up every one.

New York Assemblyman Republican Steve McLaughlin, purposely divulges information about Democratic legislation that was designed to confiscate assault rifles. The document showed that the Democrats actually did want to confiscate assault rifles and that the Democrats wanted to keep this info away from public eyes. The following is a statement released on New York Assemblyman Steve McLaughlin’s Facebook page. “Here it is. This is the video where I was asked to keep the Democrat proposals for the NY SAFE Act away from the public. This list was given to me by a colleague and it is not confidential.

This bill was an attack on the 2nd amendment and the Democrats clearly wanted to dismantle the work of the Founding Fathers. None of these amendments were included in the final bill thanks to us fighting back. I will not stand silent while these unpatriotic proposals are pathetically thrown at us a 11 o’clock at night:

1. Confiscation of “assault weapons”

2. Confiscation o ten round clips

3. Statewide database for ALL Guns

4. Continue to allow pistol permit holder’s information to be replaced to the public

5. Label semiautomatic shotguns with more than 5 rounds or pistol grips as “assault weapons”

6. Limit the number of rounds in a magazine to 5 and confiscation and forfeiture of banned magazines

7. Limit possession to no more than two (2) magazines

8. Limit purchase of guns to one gun per person per month

9. Require re-licensing of all pistol permit owners

10. Require renewal of all pistol permits every five years

11. State issued pistol permits

12. Micro-stamping of all guns in New York State

13. Require licensing of all gun ammo dealers

14. Mandatory locking of guns at home

So, not registering your firearms means you can avoid a lawful court order, thereby becoming a criminal. Good logic there.
