Hi, I have been looking over the board for an answer to my question that I am just sure I've seen somewhere (but now cannot locate)! My fiance's passport will expire in 2008. I thought I had read that the beneficiary's passport should be valid for at least 2 years after entering the US. We are recent filers (NOA 1 on November 3) so he will only have a year upon receiving the K1 visa. Can anyone provide some help about the validity of his passport?

The fiance(e) also needs a passport, valid for at least 6 months from the time the visa is issued.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Just have him renew his passport while in his country. Otherwsie when he gets here it will be an enourmous hassle to get it renewed
