I was approved for the K-1 fiancé visa at US Embassy Manila a couple of days ago! Woo-hoo!

We booked our flights to the USA on Delta Airlines on the same day the visa was approved. MNL-NRT-SFO

So now, we're just waiting for the visa to be issued so we can pick it up at 2Go. We are so relieved to finally have this approval and the chance to re-start our life together. My future in-laws were crying over Skype as we talked about the approval and made plans for the wedding.

Lots of luck and good wishes and vibes to everyone still going through their fiancé visa process!

My case status on the CEAC website still says Administrative Processing 2 days after being told at the interview that I was approved. I did notice that my case was last updated on 19 February 2014. I hope the 'update' is related to my medical data being received late by the US Embassy. When I was interviewed by the American consul (an Asian-American), he mentioned that they're still waiting for my medical, so I told him I finished my immunizations at St. Luke's clinic around 6 PM of the 17th but the clinic staff promised me that they'd transmit my medical result to the embassy on the 2nd batch on Feb 18, around 9 AM. I was interviewed on the 18th of Feb.

My partner and I need help. We are almost ready to send the I-129-F petition, but we have many concerns.

The first question is about how to fill out question 3 from the I 129-F form. It asks for an alien registration (A-number). Where do we get this number?

The second question is about the filing location address in the cover letter.

We plan to get married in Boston, Massachusetts. Where is our filing location? We think it is in Vermont but we aren't sure.

The other question is about the fiancé letter of intent. Should we write the address of the embassy of the beneficiary, or the US Department of Homeland Security?

Also, is it necessary to attach official proof that same-sex marriage is legal in Massachusetts? We already have a CNN article printed out - is this appropriate?

And finally, is it possible to send the I 129- F packet from Honduras?

Is it possible to use a money order from Honduras to pay the I 129-F fee through Western Union?

We hope you can help us with our many concerns. Thank you in advance.

The first question is about how to fill out question 3 from the I 129-F form. It asks for an alien registration (A-number). Where do we get this number? (SKIP IT......YOU DON'T HAVE ONE. THEY WILL UNDERSTAND ....AT LEAST THEY DID FOR US)

The second question is about the filing location address in the cover letter.

We plan to get married in Boston, Massachusetts. Where is our filing location? We think it is in Vermont but we aren't sure.

(WE USED THE FILING ADDRESS OF THE LOCKBOX IN TEXAS. THIS QUESTION PROBABLY GETS A LOT MORE ATTENTION THAN IT SHOULD. IT'S A LETTER, THE ADDRESS BLOCK IS FAR LESS IMPORTANT THAN THE LETTER'S CONTENT....)

The other question is about the fiancé letter of intent. Should we write the address of the embassy of the beneficiary, or the US Department of Homeland Security?

(OURS WAS ADDRESSED TO THE ALL FAMOUS "TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN" SO IF IT CONCERNS THEM THEN IT WAS FOR THEM. THE LETTER YOU WRITE WILL EVENTUALLY WIND UP AT THE EMBASSY OF THE BENEFICIARY....WE ACTUALLY HAD A SECOND LETTER OF INTENT PREPARED JUST IN CASE THEY ASKED, WHICH THEY ASKED FOR N- O -T-H-I-N-G AT THE INTERVIEW.......SO TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN SEEMED TO WORK.

Also, is it necessary to attach official proof that same-sex marriage is legal in Massachusetts? We already have a CNN article printed out - is this appropriate?

NOT NECESSARY, AT LEAST FOR US.....THOUGH I HAVE READ WHERE SOME RECEIVED AN ADDITIONAL REQUEST FOR MORE INFO. WE JUST WROTE IN OUR LETTER THAT THE WEDDING WOULD TAKE PLACE IN CALIFORNIA. I THINK AT THAT POINT MOST OF THE WORLD WAS AWARE THAT TWO GUYS COULD GET MARRIED IN CALIFORNIA, SO IT WASN'T AN ISSUE FOR US.

And finally, is it possible to send the I 129- F packet from Honduras? YEAH I'M THINKING THE ANSWER IS "no" I'M THINKING SOMEWHERE IN THAT PACKET OR THE INSTRUCTIONS IT TELLS YOU TO HAVE A U.S. ADDRESS.......BUT THEN SOMEONE OUT THERE MAY KNOW OTHERWISE. i THINK YOU MUST BE RESIDING IN THE U.S.

Is it possible to use a money order from Honduras to pay the I 129-F fee through Western Union? AGAIN, I'M THINKING "NO" BUT SOMEONE MAY KNOW MORE ABOUT THAT THAN i.

We hope you can help us with our many concerns. Thank you in advance.

Interview at the embassy Feb 18. Was told at the releasing window I was approved, except they were waiting for the medical result from St. Luke's, which the clinic promised to me they would transmit to the embassy on the 18th around 9 AM.

The American consular officer took my passports (my current one and the old one with a previous US visa). That should be a good sign, right?

Except when I check the CEAC website, it's still in AP and my case was updated or touched on Feb 19, 20, 21, but nothing since then.

Others who got interviewed on or after my interview date have been posting that their status indicates visa ISSUED. This is like waiting for NOA2 all over again, in the sense that others who applied or got interviewed after me get approved before me! Arrggghhh!

My partner and I were living together in Germany when we filed our 129F. Based upon various bits of advice found here, we sent our entire packet and supporting documents to a friend in the U.S. who then wrote a check from her U.S. bank account and sent the package to the Texas Lockbox via USPS priority mail. This seemed like the best way to ensure that everything made it :)

Good luck!
