I would also wait about 10-14 days if I were you.

We also sent them an email roughly 10 days after we received the USCIS Status Update, that's also an option to consider.

Today marks 4 week since my NOA2 approval from CSC, so I decided to call the DOS and check in. I was shocked to get the CASE NUMBER from the DOS. I then called the NVC and also received my Invoice ID Number and Beneficiary ID number. The NVC was a bit more helpful at this stage with information. I was also told that my application had shipped to London today.

The CEAC tracking says "In transit". Can anyone tell me how I will know the embassy has the case, and when can we submit the DS 160?

I do not see why you can´t get the DS160 out of the way already.... you only need the case number from USCIS for that.... the rest are just questions about past travel and personal things... that´s about it.... my fiance completed his DS160 already, we are just waiting for a case number so we can schedule the appt... good luck!!

The CEAC tracking will change to "READY." For us, the DS 160 was submitted prior to the embassy even receiving the package. Once they get the package they will pull that information from the online database. We had to have the 160 submitted prior to scheduling the interview, and yes, we could pick our own date. So she asked for petitioner's name, petitioner's birthdate, beneficiary's name, beneficiary's birthdate, and she gave us our Manila case number. That's it. Piece of cake this part. LOL

congratulations. the MNL number will stay with you through the process. you will use it to complete the online forms. things move easier once it leaves the NVC.....our experience was that NVC, while they did give me the MNL number,they were of little help after that. Once your case is received and processed by MNL embassy your status will changed to READY. At that point you can go online to schedule the interview appt. Your partner will need to pay the visa application before you can make your interview appt. It's cake. It really is. Enjoy it. peace.

Hi! I've read in the Philippines sub forum that I only need the MNL case number and visa fee receipt number to schedule the USEM interview online. We got both now and just waiting for the USEM system to allow us to schedule the interview appointment online. Seems like the earliest interview date available is now April 28 in 2014!
