Thank you all for your comments and concerns. I am very confident that the pictures that I have sent are more than enough. If I happed to get an RFE, nothing to fear. Congratulations to all of you that have already started this journey. I know we are all very excited and nervous but the best we can all do at this point is kind of hold each others hands and wait for this long wait to pass. I hope all of our applications are approved without a problem!

Good luck to all of you!

By the way, I just saw this on the news:

U.S. says visas from gay spouses will get equal treatment

File picture shows Seattle gay-rights advocate and journalist Dan Savage and Terry Miller after getting married in Seattle (Cliff DesPeaux, REUTERS / August 1, 2013)

LONDON (Reuters) - The United States will immediately begin considering visa applications of gay and lesbian spouses in the same manner as heterosexual couples, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said on Friday.

Kerry made the announcement at the U.S. Embassy in London.

"When same-sex couples apply for a visa, the Department of State will consider that application in the same manner that it considers the application of opposite sex spouses," Kerry said shortly after his arrival in London.

"If you are the spouse of a U.S. citizen, your visa application will be treated equally. If you are the spouse of a non-citizen, your visa application will be treated equally. If you are in a country that doesn't recognize your same-sex marriage, then your visa application will still be treated equally at every single one of our 222 visa processing centers around the world," he added.

The move comes after the Obama administration urged all U.S. agencies to review their polices after the U.S. Supreme Court in June struck down a key part of the federal law that defined marriage as between a man and a woman.

Last month, the Department of Homeland Security said its U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services would begin reviewing petitions filed on behalf of same-sex spouses the same way as those for spouses in heterosexual marriages.

The very best of luck on your continuing journey together. It was such a good day when section 3 of DOMA was demolished. Same sex couples should have been given the same rights long ago.

Good luck to all of you!!! This is a tedious trial by fire requiring patience and faith in each other. Stay strong and never give up!

This is so awesome! I submitted our application a few weeks ago. My girlfriend and I have been together for 4 years traveling back and forth from the states to the Netherlands.

We had gotten our NOA1 a week or so ago and just saw on the tracking site that our Alien Registration Number had been changed on July 30th! I suppose that means she finally has an Alien ID - which is beyond exciting, I'm just wondering what happens next and hoping we hear something else soon!

I know it has only been a couple weeks but I am hoping luck is on our side and things move quickly :)

The response to this forum since I started it yesterday had been positive. I expected negative comments right away from people with different views and opinions. That did not happen until today. There have been people that have come in here and commented and left their well wishes and congratulatory messages and I absolutely appreciate and thank you for that. Please, if you have no positive comments to leave for us, or if your views are different than ours, negative messages will not help us out, nor will it help you as it will only feed your ignorance. If you don't agree with our lifestyle, that is not what this forum is about, so please keep your comments to yourself or simply ignore my forum. This forum is for Same Sex couples going through the K-1 process, not for Biology lessons or negative comments. Everyone that has been supportive, again thank you so so so much.

Meh, ignore the haters. Some people just aren't happy unless they're trying to self-righteously rain on someone else's parade. They must be really fun at parties (not).

I just wanted to pop in and say congrats to all of you!!!! You should have heard the cheers in my house the day SCOTUS struck down DOMA and declined to rule on Prop 8 (I wish they would have declared it unconstitutional and struck it down entirely but hey, it's forward progress). Equality for everyone is a subject that has always been close to my heart---even more so since my daughter came out to me two years ago.

Ok, stepping off my soap box now. Three cheers to love!!!! And welcome to the wonderful bureaucracy that is the USCIS (I really wish there was a sarcasm smiley)! LOLOL.
