San Diego downtown. For some reason I thought it will be Chula Vista but it doesn't really matter.

It was so weird cause i didn't get any text or emails notifying me for the letter. So i guess see you there on the 19th:)

yes. It was weird for me too. I didn't get any text or emails.

After opening the mail , the first thing my eyes were scanning for was "Request for Evidence". I was really surprised.

Hi Guys,

Just reached home. Here is the detailed interview experience.

Our interview was at 12:55 pm at SFO office. We reached 1 hour early and were let in around 12:30 pm. We checked in with the receptionist and were asked to sit in the waiting area. We were called in at 1:30 pm. The officer was very very friendly. He escorted us to his office and sworn us before letting us to sit.

He asked both our passports and DLs. Then made some notes from those, I am not sure what. Then he opened my file and asked me almost all the questions in the i485. Then he asked my wife where she works, and acknowledged that we were using our combined income for sponsorship. then he asked us if we had any other documents for him. I submitted Apt Lease, Insurance (Health, Life, Car), ATT phone bills, Savings account statements.

He also asked us if we had pictures. I showed him our wedding album and he looked at it and asked us who-is-who for some of them.

Thats it he said that he is approving us and will check for the visa number if available. Then he game me a print out of the approval letter.

Also, FYI all... I did not carry one single extra document other than what was mentioned in the interview letter.

Got the email this morning that my interview is scheduled for November 18 (same as you Rj4). Expecting my EAD card in the mail tomorrow.

For those of you who are concerned about not receiving texts and emails, I think it's just a lapse in the system. I had the same problem. If it's really important for you to receive the emails and texts, the solution is to visit the USCIS website https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/selectusertype.jsp and sign up for case updates there. It worked for me!

Experts please advise.


I got my EAD/AP approval on Oct 10th and got Card production status on Oct 10th as well. But I got the same status this morning again it is saying as below:


Card/ Document Production


On October 16, 2013, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

Yes. It is normal. The same thing happened to me and to a few other members in this thread. You will soon get the tracking number :)

Just received the USPS tracking number for the green card. After approval date, i have noticed from other approvals that it takes 10 days for the green card to reach.
