Like others said, the card is valid for one year. Mine is an EAD/AP combo card and it is valid for multiple entries (not that I will need it anyway, my interview is next week). Under terms and conditions, it says "none", so no restrictions.. unlike my old EAD that I got as a student which required me to work only in the field that my college degree was in.

Curious, are there any limitations on the EAD card?

well i have it ..and thanks to the gov. shutdown am not able to get a ss card ..so,again ,wait ...

Well I already have a SS cause I've been working here on a TN visa for a while. But I'm supposed to start freelancing soon and I can't without the EAD...

Hopefully you will be able to get your SS number soon, that shutdown is insane

Change your address or direct deposit information

Accept reports of death

Verify or change your citizenship status

Replace a lost or missing Social Security payment

Issue a critical payment

Change a representative payee

Process a change in your living arrangement or income (SSI recipients only)

We "cannot" provide the following services:

Issue new or replacement Social Security cards

Replace your Medicare card

Issue a proof of income letter

No I have not received a date for my interview yet. I'm certain you'll be getting your EAD/AP notice soon. I think they update ours on the same days so the next time I get an update, I suspect you'll be getting one too.

I do have one concern about my EAD though. Online it says the card is in production, however, my AP is still in Initial Review. Has anyone else who've applied for EAD and AP get one approved without the other?

Yes, I did see some are having EAD approved and AP is still initial review. But in the normal scenario, it should be approved at the same day as they are trying to give a COMBO card. I think your card will be mailed after your AP is also approved.

Woohoo! Our case is now in Testing and Interview, just got the text this evening. We now wait for an interview date to be set.

It usually is a week or so after the biometrics appointment date, for most people. You should hear something soon. Going in early doesn't speed things up, based on what I've read here.

I have heard that said time and time again and looking at MOST signatures, that's the truth. But we have one person in this thread who went to T&I just one day after the scheduled biometrics and in the July thread there was someone who went to T&I before the scheduled biometrics apptment. So at least sometimes it can speed things up, but normally doesn't.

We also have the same interview date! I am meeting up with my lawyer to do some briefing next week. Just to make sure I have all documents ready and to know what to expect from the interviewer. Actually, based on others' updates and outputs from different forums, I kind of know already what to expect. Let's pray we get really nice interviewers & get an approval right away! Good luck to us!

Hey maybe you can share what your lawyer told you about the interview? If you can give us inputs to get is ready that will really be appreciated. :-)

Received notice today that the ead is in the mail. Tracking info says it will be here Thursday!

Congratulations everyone who got their EADs and interview letters! No EAD/AP for me yet.

However, for some reason my approved I-130 went back into Initial Review.

Anyone else had that happen? Also, anyone else who applied in early august and hasn't received the EAD/AP card?

my case

i can see the states still initial review for i-130 (no changed)

only i received duplication e-mail and txt for EAD that card states changed to production/mail which date is first: 10/2/2013 second:10/7/2013.

as soon as get the ead card i should have to go to DMV for renew the driver license but i have no idea about.. they can renew the DL without SSN.

for now it looks like hard to get the ssn even we get the EAD...
