Actually I am a little puzzled as I filled in Chicago Lockbox, but on my NOA and Biometrics appointment notice, it says that the service center is MSC (National Benefits Center). I guess the file will be transferred to my local office as soon as the interview is scheduled.

Anyone in a similar situation?

Tried it over the phone - they still denied it due to the heavy volume of applicants requested that their case be expedited.

Hi. Did you check online if your schedule is already posted in there? There's a possibility that maybe there's a lot of people processing on your office location or maybe they just wasn't able to notify you but I'm sure once they scheduled you, it will show on your case status online.

Hi,

I think usually a lot of people receive their EAD before the interview date, but lately it has seemed different indeed as many got their interview date (and sometimes interview) before getting their EAD.

I got my 'Testing & Interview' email just a day after you guys, but since then, absolutely no news and no update on the website :(

I really need my EAD soon as I have to start on a freelance gig in a few weeks.

I received the following email at 4:15pm:

That's normal. If you are doing your AOS, the NBC handles it. I sent my docs to chicago too and my receipt numbers are all from the NBC.

I think interview scheduling and EAD processing are handled separately. If your local office is busy there can be a delay in interview scheduling.

I have an interview date but don't have the EAD yet :-). An EAD (with AP) gives you all the privileges you need till you get the green card anyways!

We are still waiting for our case to leave RFE response review. On Monday it will be two weeks in RFE response review, that seems to be the average time. I'm jealous that some of you have gotten your interview dates already, but no worries. If we had waited until all our info was available, we'd probably just now be getting our NOA1. We're still hopeful for an appointment sometime in November but anytime before the end of the year is ok by us. No rush at all.

Hmm thats a hard decision to make cause im really wanted it asap. I know ill still get my ead card but what if rescheduling make it delay for months ?

i dont know if i want to risk it.

It won't delay it for months. The best course to take is that once you get your interview letter in hand, call the USCIS and ask them about the possibility of changing the interview. They should be able to tell you when the next available appointment would be before you give up your existing appointment.
