UPDATE

I did the biometrics last 09th September and my status update for RFE on 11th September.

I received the letter on 14th September and sent out the package today at morning.

For my surprise when I checked my status now it changed to Testing/Interview. They didnt receive the package for sure.

Our RFE was asking for more financial documents or asking for a co-sponsor. The problem is my husband make enough money but he got this new job last July, so his last 3 years tax return was under the poverty guideline. We used co-sponsor for the K1 visa. We just sent the the co-sponsor papers today.

I don't know what expect. They will check and receive my papers and change the status back to RFE received? Or I can expect the interview date soon?

That is so strange maybe they re reviewed your application and say it was enough evidence.

No text message. What I received was an email and i got it exactly 10:15pm Eastern time. I am in North Carolina. I am sure you will be getting yours soon too as our timeline is so close.

wow... only 8 days more and its a month waiting for your interview appointment in the mail already. Its taking that long huh. Well at least your case is moving and you have your EAD card in production already. Congratulations. Keep us updated!

Congrats! It looks like you've moved ahead of us....we had the biometrics on the same day but our RFE has slowed us down. Now we get to see just how much it slowed us down.

congrats ..

I have seen people getting interview date within a week of getting T&I status. I have also seen people waiting for months.

My guess is that it depends upon the workload in local office .

I noticed from your signature timeline that early biometrics did speed things up for you. I suspect it did for others as well.

Congrats! It looks like you've moved ahead of us....we had the biometrics on the same day but our RFE has slowed us down. Now we get to see just how much it slowed us down.

Have you read LoveCouple's post? They had an RFE too and on the day they sent it out to the mail, their application moved to Testing and Interview. Im sure NBC havent received their response to the RFE yet but their application moved forward. Hope it'll be the same for you guys. Hoping the best for all of us actually! This waiting makes me anxious and excited! Hehehhe

I dont think so. Coz I had a biometric walk-in while Pamala Lycos didnt and we both have the same timeline, just one day difference actually and we both got the T & I the exact date we are expecting. So i dont think walk-in or not for biometric, they process things equally.

Just checked my case status online for EAD/AP. They have both been approved and moved to "Post Decision Activity". Here's what it says:

"Post Decision Activity

On September 25, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION/ I131 APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT."

Next step is card production. AOS interview is in three weeks from today!

I first got an e-mail saying that my status has moved to "Testing and Interview", which is the stage that you and Pamala are at right now. Then, two weeks later I received another txt/e-mail with the interview date and I actually received the hard copy on the same day (9/16). Based on my case, your interview notice should come in 2-3 weeks

From all the post regarding early walk in biometrics, my understanding is that :

a) You can do it if the ASC allows you ( You have to take chances ) . May be you can call then and check.

b) There is no harm in doing this

c) This may not speed up or slow down your process

d) You may have to wait a longer amount of time in the ASC to do early walk in.

I don't have a car. And it takes 2 hours by bus to go to the ASC I am assigned to.

I will try it if I get a ride.

You can try to do an early walkin. It is up to them to allow it or not.

IMO, it doesn't speed up or slow down the process. Try and do a walkin in the afternoon if you do. From what I have read, centers are less crowded in the afternoon.

I did not hear from them for 2 weeks till yesterday. Yesterday I got an email saying that my case is in "Interview Scheduling". So, doing biometrics early did speed it up for me; I was supposed to have it done yesterday.
