You guys are insinuating the laws are the only thing that keep us from running amok.

Without laws we are just animals and you wouldn't be posting here, because you'd be busy defending your home from the hordes.

I doubt you've thought these "ideas" all the way through and if you have there are other countries that are far better suited to your lawless beliefs.

You really want the government to have the power over who can and can't have a right?

Do you really believe they don't already? You're kidding right? Look up "Rendition" and "Black Sites".

Like I already said, most states won't allow felons to have a weapon. Try changing that law first.

Why have laws if you're not going to enforce them? How many thousands of people have tried to purchase a firearm when having a felony on their record? Looks like in 2010 alone 34,459 people with felony convictions tried to purchase a firearm, yet only 44 of them were prosecuted.

2010: 72,659 denials

34,459 felony convictions/indictments

13,862 fugitives

44 prosecutions (0.06 percent of denials)

2009: 67,324 denials

32,652 felony convictions/indictments

11,341 fugitives

77 prosecutions (0.11 percent)

2008: 70,725 denials

39,526 felony convictions/indictments

9,464 fugitives

105 prosecutions (0.15 percent)

2007: 73,992 denials

23,703 felony convictions/indictments

4,803 fugitives

122 prosecutions (0.16 percent)

2006: 69,930 denials

25,259 felony convictions/indictments

4,235 fugitives

112 prosecutions (0.16 percent)

2005: 66,705 denials

36.8 percent felony convictions/indictments

5.3 percent fugitives

135 prosecutions (0.20 percent)

You're saying all those people "obtained a firearm" and were not prosecuted? Or they were denied a firearm?

The only thing worse than an anarchist with a gun, is more anarchists with guns getting together and agreeing to certain rules, and making sure everybody abides by those, because there is nothing worse than somebody that doesn't want to follow the rules and is armed with a gun.

The "natural order" of things doesn't involve firearms.
