Your argument for "no" controls makes very little sense and is not some constitutional right you have.

You can have the weapon as a right yes, but having you register it does nothing to that right. Checking your background does nothing to that right, well unless you have something to hide. Checking you protects my rights to not have a felon or a mentally challenged person purchase a weapon LEGALLY. Of course people will do illegal actions, they always do.
