They are trying to restrict the free exercise of it.

Like in the days of alcohol prohibition why don't you just make your own weapons? Actually, that's liberty. What you're practicing is just consumerism.

Your wide open gun law idea only restricts your liberty, because it requires you to spend more and more on protection from those with weapons wanting to harm you. (It's not actually true, but you're buying the idea.)

We should just sell heroin, meth and crack at Walmart. Because by not allowing me to be a junkie you're infringing on my liberty!

Of course they are.

Having to register and license something is SO restrictive.

Why do I even bother with getting a passport? It infringes on my LIBERTY!

The jist of every response is some idea that by saying you won, you've won the argument. If that works for you, so be it.

How are your rights "infringed" with a registration?

And who said your liberty is in anyway tampered with by registration or license?

If its "shall issue" licensing and just a list of guns we wouldnt need one because nobody would get denied. What would be the point of that?

Sounds like youre saying the government would be able to deny some folks from being on that list. Is that unrestricted?

Or speeding, or drunk driving, or robbery, or anything. So if a law is not unbreakable it should not exist? Why do we even have law enforcement? They're basically the government handling people that are breaking laws. God you guys are a broken record. Should it be against the law to burn flags? I mean, one f***ing guy may do it after you pass the law so screw it right? Why do anything? Ever? Why make your bed?

It is the same with Chicago. Most of the guns used in Chicago crimes came from nearby states with lax gun laws. But then they want to blame the states with the restrictive gun laws. Doesn't make sense.

well if gun laws are the problem then why do the places the guns come from , have way less crime than Chicago.
