Hello everyone,

I think we are ready to send the package to start the process. Here is a checklist I have of the stuff we are sending. Would you be so gentle to check if I'm sending everything? please let me know if I need something else!!

To Whom It May Concern:

Please accept this application for permanent residence by marriage to a U.S citizen. Enclosed please find the following documents:

  1. Check in the amount of US$ 420 for I-130
  2. Check in the amount of US$ 1,070 for I-485
  3. Form G-1145 E-Notification of application/petition acceptance
  4. Form I-130 Petition for alien relative
  • Copy of US citizen birth certificate (front & back)
  • Copy of US citizen passport
  • Copy of beneficiary’s birth certificate and translation.
  • Certified copy of marriage certificate
  • Certified copy of beneficiary’s divorce decree
  • G-325A signed by US citizen
  • G-325A signed by beneficiary
  • Passport photo of US citizen (placed in a small bag along with beneficiary's photo)
  • Passport photo of beneficiary (placed in a small bag, labeled with full name and A#)
  • Evidence of Bona fide Marriage

- Copy of joint bank account E-statement (May 2013/June 2013)

- Copy of Health Insurance card (front & back)

- Copy of New York license with our home address (front & back)

- Copy of Car Insurance with our home address and policy #

- Copy of LIRR spouse card

- Copy of daughter’s birth certificate

- Pictures that document relationship and marriage

  1. Form I-485 Application to register permanent residence or adjust status
  • Copy of passport’s biographical and entry stamps page
  • Copy of passport’s visa page
  • Copy of I-94 (front & back)
  • A certified copy of marriage certificate
  • Copy of beneficiary's birth certificate and translation
  • G-325A signed by US citizen
  • G-325A signed by beneficiary
  • Two passport pictures of beneficiary (placed in a small bag, labeled with full name and A# )
  • I-693 completed and sealed by surgeon
  1. Form I-864 affidavit of support
  • Copy of petitioner’s IRS tax return transcript for the year 2012
  • Copy of petitioner and beneficiary’s W2
  • Copy of petitioner’s verification of employment

Do we really have to send the Evidence of Bona fide Marriage like bank statements and healt insurance card? I thought we should take all those documents to the interview.

I thought it would be better if I send everything at once and then at the interview I wouldn't have to bring that many things if they ask for any. Also, I saw another post of another member and he send almost the same things and he got approved...

Package looks good.

I too sent all the bank statements in with the package, figured the more info the better.

06/22/13 - Mailed I-130/I-485

06/26/13 - Package delivered to Chicago Lockbox

07/01/13 - Received email of acceptance of application

07/02/13 - USCIS returned Photos in package

07/03/13 - Checks cashed

07/06/13 - Received mail of I-797 Notice of Action Letters

07/12/13 - Received mail of Biometric appointment

07/19/13 - Successful walk in Biometric done!

08/04/13 - Received text & email about Interview date for Aug. 1?????

08/06/13 - Received mail of Appointment Letter for an Interview that is Scheduled for Aug. 1??????

08/07/13 - Received text & email about case being in Interview scheduling phase (website took off Appointment date of Aug. 1)

08/12/13 - Received email about Interview date (no text message this time)

08/12/13 - Received mail of Appointment Letter for Interview Sept. 12

08/13/13 - Received phone call from USCIS office (around 7:30am) to see if I received the Appointment Letter yet.

09/12/13 - Interview officer said we were approved!!!!
