Updates! I kept calling NVC for a case number but was the line was always busy, today after only about 10 minutes on hold and I got through. We got our NOA2 on June 17th. On July 16th it was fowarded to NVC. I got the case number today and they told me our case was sent to the US embassy in Phnom Penh on July 23rd, so only a 1 week turnaround on their part!

Also just a heads up - I had moved in June from NJ to AZ. I left a forwarding address at the post office. Tried to change my address on file with USCIS online, but wasn't working. The post office will not forward mail from USCIS! I had to call someone after I got a notice in my email that my mail had been returned, probably delayed having our case sent to NVC but luckily we're back on track now.

I'm wondering if you've done the Cambodian police/background check yet, specifically how much $$ is the ministry asking these days??

Thanks!

My Fiance had a police/background check done for the intial I129F filing eventhough it wa not needed. I don't know the cost for just that form since it was done along with the other paperwork. The person who took care of the paperwork had charge a full processing fee. The form is good for 3 months and it's about to expire on Aug. 21 and I don't think we will have our interview by then therefore I am looking into the cost, if any, to extend or if we need to get a new one and also how long it takes to get it.
