I gotta tell you, I was pretty shocked to hear that guy say that on the radio. Especially here in Texas. I'm not even paraphrasing when he compared the forefathers to Nazis. He made sense to me.

It's one of those things you won't look at until someone brings it up in context. I started being leary when 9/11 happened and I was in DC at the time. If they didn't know what your ethnicity was, you were in for it. I remember black folks were like, tag you're it to anyone of middle eastern descent.

It's frustrating that no matter how you act, it always comes down to that. The good thing about America is that it isn't as in your face as it is in China, India, or some other places. Heck, I've seen it in Japan and Korea as well. Over there they do the X sign, put their arms up in an x motion, that lets you know you don't belong there. But white people? They want to be white so bad, it's sad actually. I think Asians have very beautiful women, but they'd rather put a white woman on their billboards than one of them. I pointed this out in Narita Airport when I first got there. They didn't know what to say.

It's sad that you can't be happy in your own skin. Asia has some knockouts, yet a white woman is the archtype for which they aspire to be. I don't knock white women because they are beautiful as well, just like I love my dark skinned sisters, and hispanics are in there too.

There was a controversy not long ago in Africa. They did a model shoot and need an african model to represent the country. Instead of getting a black african, they grabbed a white girl from North Carolina. Talk about issues.

The explanation for that is Asian faces don't show expression as well as European faces. Actors and other performers have used white face make-up to enhance contrast in the past for the same reason. Clown make-up in just an exaggerated form of the same thing.
