It blocked me as well.

Sorry Patriot, PM me your name, I'll get you on "the List". I'm allowed to have at least one white friend who can access the site. But you'll owe me. Next time we go to Hong Kong, you need to by my taxi decoy.

It's one of those countries where we can only go certain places.

Let's just say that my fair skin shipmates get to do things we can't.

Catching a cab is a hassle. They would drive right pass us to pick up some white sailors about 10 feet away, we'd be in a group of 2 or 3 sober, they'd be more and rowdy drunk. We had to get a white guy decoy so we could get around.

Clubs are a funny thing. We'd watch guys walk right in without a cover, yet ours would be up in the range of 70 American dollars for one of us or we would be told no entry.

Eating there is kind of hit and miss. Last time we were there, it was about 6 of us at Outback. After we ordered, we watched as several other groups came in after us and served way before us. I had to say something to the manager when it hit the 45 minute mark and we were still waiting on our food.

After my marriage, my mother and me had a layover there. We went to Mcdonalds for breakfast. I speak a little Mandrin, hello, thank you, that's about it. Since the girl at the counter made it clear she didn't understand english, I simply pointed out what my mother and I wanted. I went to pay, she snatched the money from my hand, got the change, and threw it back on the counter at me. My mother had to pull me away before I went off on her.

Yeah they don't want to accidentally touch your hands because it's black. Indians do that too. Lot of prejudice against black people.

I lived there for a few years as a teen. I remember the first year the local university (in India) started an exchange program with a university in Kenya. A bunch of black men (all men) walking around, not speaking a word of Hindi and using an English accent the locals could not understand. Their mannerisms are obviously very different, the locals don't like them. Those guys could not even buy a loaf of bread because no store owner would even try to talk to them. They were waved off dismissively, a GTFO type gesture.

It's frustrating that no matter how you act, it always comes down to that. The good thing about America is that it isn't as in your face as it is in China, India, or some other places. Heck, I've seen it in Japan and Korea as well. Over there they do the X sign, put their arms up in an x motion, that lets you know you don't belong there. But white people? They want to be white so bad, it's sad actually. I think Asians have very beautiful women, but they'd rather put a white woman on their billboards than one of them. I pointed this out in Narita Airport when I first got there. They didn't know what to say.

My daughter was 6 months old when we flew to India to see her grandparents. They had a little baby room set up. In India it's considered good luck for babies to look at images of other babies. So her room was full of pictures of babies and toddlers.

Every picture was of a white baby with blonde hair and blue eyes. In probably one of the darkest-skin-tone regions of India.

Wow, I didn't know how bad it was over there till you said something. I've never been to India, but after doing some research, I don't want to go.

Funny thing is, I don't have an issue with white people. My first wife was full blooded German, so my sons are half white. I've tasted the rainbow so to speak, I think all women are beautiful. I just hate the notion that when it's white, it's right, but if it's black, you know it's wrong on some level.

I just heard a funny exchange on the radio at lunch that reminded me of all this constitution stuff. There's 3 guys on a sports talk show, but they always talk about other stuff as well. There's a pretty religious white guy from Lynchburg, VA, a black guy from here in Dallas, and another white guy from Cleveland. They were talking about the N word and this football player. They got into constitutional protections. The guy from Cleveland start going off about why are we always going back to what our forefathers did? He was saying the forefathers were basically a bunch of Hitlers for bringing black people here as slaves and then breeding them for more slaves, as well as pretty much wiping out the Indians. His point was why are we always going back to this document (constitution) as a blueprint on how things should be in this country, when in reality the people that wrote it were really horrible people.
