Help. I am filling out the I-129F form and my fiance has 2 last names which is very common for Mexico. Do I list both of her last names on the form? Also, she does not have a middle name.

Refer to the FAQ, I followed what others did, I just used the Father's name as family name, then I put the whole name in the cover letter and specified that I was just using her father's name. My fiance is colombian and I just sent the 129f today.

I've already been through this with my first wife if 17 years, and now again with my fiancee. First name is her GIVEN name, middle name is (NONE) or (NMN), and family name is her FATHER'S last name. Ignore the second last name which is her mother's maiden name, just as we ignore it here in the US. If you do it any differently you are just causing alot of confusion. US authorities are not interested in the SECOND last name(mother's maiden name)unless they specifically ask for it , as they do in the first box of the third line of the G-325A form. So if your fiance's name is Jane (no middle name) Doe Smith... Family name = Doe First name = Jane Middle name= (none) or (nmn) Forget about Smith

My fiance has two last names - as do most hispanics and Latin Americans.

I wrote NONE under middle name (as he has none) and wrote both of his last names where they ask for last name.

They are both his legal names and I sent a copy of his passport and birth certificate which proves this.

I had no RFEs.

My fiance is also from Mexico. For the I-129f petition, I only used his father's last name, ignoring the mother's last name. I figured that it would make things easier. Now I'm at the consulate stage, and for the forms he will present in his interview, I will be including both of his last names.

Good luck
