Hi all,

As a US citizen, I petitioned for my daughter and her family to come to the US so it started out as an F3 case. While waiting for her PD to be current, her husband passed away. We submitted the death certificate and her case was then upgraded to F1 & fast-tracked. Recently, we received the AOS bill($88) and the DS-3032 (choice of agent & address) form, which we promptly paid and mailed back.

Here's the date info for the case and her child:

application filed: 08/03/2003

approved: 05/15/2010 (unusually long processing time, but this is correct)

child DOB: 09/06/1989

I've done the calculation and he is CSPA eligible. I have these questions:

1. Now that the case is F1, does it have any impact on the child's CSPA eligibility?

2. Will he automatically be issued a Visa the same time as his mom? Or will his mom have to file some paperwork on his behalf after she received her visa? How long would this paperwork process take?

3. I'm assuming that the next step is to receive the DS-230 & the visa application fee. Should we expect a visa bill for him?

4. Anything else I should do while waiting for the NVC?

Thank you
