Does anyone out there have experience with a fiance from Colombia with a child? In my case the father of the child has nothing to do them. I am trying to find specific info regarding this in Colombia, would we need to locate the father of the child to sign anything? Do I have to go through an actual adoption prior to getting the fiance visa? Or can I just apply for the i129f and add the child?

I am sure a few of you out had this same experience in Colombia. Please advise

Was in Medellin 1 week every month for the the year

Married June 28th 07 Wedding in Bello ( applied for residence in Colombia, granted temporal residencia for 2 years.)

The child will need "notarizado"permisson - in writing from the father each time the child leaves the country, otherwise DAS will not allow the child to board the plane. If you think you will have trouble securing permission in writing I would suggest calling DAS. You may look into notifying "BienEstar Familiar" in case the father decides to play hardball.

1/5/2007 - Called NVC for status. I was informed we were on "Administrative Precessing". After a sensational start it now looks like this is gonna be a long ride.

2007-02-07 - Packet 4 Received

2007-03-22 - Interview Date

2007-03-23 - Visa Received

NOA Date : 2008-12-05 I-485 REJECTED - INCORRECT FEE?!
