You are right about that,

The profit doesn't go back to the consumers but to the CEO and board of directs, or so called shareholder, like they say

They just Increase the PROFIT MARGIN

As far as buying products, I don't look at price. Quality is more important, so whichever has the best quality is what I buy. I guess its bad because people overseas harley make any money for making that stuff and so much of it is made in sweat shops, I think by principle it would be better to buy US products. However I don't do that myself, when I see a product made in Jordan, I buy it.

Now as far as outsourcing goes, the worst IMO is call centers. I prefer to speak to people in the US. I have spent HOURS on the phone with call centers in India and the Phillipines and the end result is always the same, they transfer me back to someone in the US because they can't help me. Its really frustrating.

I think its pretty frustrating to pay alot of money for things and get poor quality of service. The company is saving alot by outsourcing the jobs to another country but they have not passed those savings on to the customers.

when buying stuff I never really look at where it is made...

I like getting the most for my money which we don't have much of... so yeah, I do a lot of my shopping at Walmart.....

paying more for something doesn't always mean it is better quality either...

I remember years ago my brother bought a pair of Nike shoes or one of those kind of shoes and he payed well over 100 bucks for them... they were trashed within a matter of months... he didn't do anything crazy with them, just the normal walking around stuff... around the same time I bought a pair of 20 dollar shoes from Zellers, they lasted for over 2 years.... and I wore them all the time...

When I call my american express card, I get a call center rep from INDIA.

This is the new america

Even though that is so funny...it is sadly the truth. No one wonder people cannot find jobs.
