I'm curious if anyone here has information for our situation. We were stuck in NVC hell and recently our request for expedite was accepted by NVC from our attorney. When I called they said that they have mailed our packet off to the consulate in Moscow and I have seen the status of "In Transit" in CEAC and can track the package via DHL

Where we are confused is to how and when the interview will be scheduled in our case as normally that occurs before the packet is sent. We did not get any confirmation emails yet (likely will today) so maybe there will be more information in there.

So in short, has anyone else had an expedite at NVC without following the standard case complete path?

in short, the IV Unit will schedule the appointment AFTER the casefile is opened there at the IV Unit.

Now here's the longer version ;) :

Usually, scheduling is done in batches. Who knows? you might get scheduled within same day of casefile opening, but it will be 1 to 5 weeks past the date they set the schedule.

You can always call DoS Hotline and inquire for casefile status.

When the casefile has 'casefile opened' casefile status with the DoS Hotline, is safe to email the IV Unit and ask to be scheduled.

Go Get Em, and Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

He finally called. CO said we need another sponsor and after that they'll give him the visa immediately! My husband sounded very happy so I guess I should be too even though this isn't very good news to me :(

Since the embassy asked for a new joint sponsor, what box does my new joint sponsor check? Are they the only joint sponsor or the second joint sponsor? Shouldn't it be only joint sponsor since my pervious joint sponsors income will not be included?

Today I accompanied my wife to isbd embassy for her interview, the interviewer waqs very friendly and interview was very simple. She got approved and we have been told to expect passport back in 5-10 days.

immihelp99, when my father sponsored me I was told the same thing your spouse was. As soon as we got a co sponsor the visa got issued, so dont worry, you are almost there.

Hello guys! So as you guys know, we have been approved!! So the embassy gave us some paperwork about dhl and also ELIS, so I've paid the last fee through ELIS and I just want to know how long does it take for that fee to clear in my bank account? Oh and how long does it take for the embassy to send the visa?
