Hello,

So this has been a long journey for all us. I've been on this website a couple of times and have tried to follow different cases to ours.

I submitted his I-130 and was rec'vd on Feb 12, 2012, it was approved on 05/29/12 because of some mix up with out paperwork we did not rec'v his interview date until 12/04/12 in CD Juarez. Sorry to say that he lasted about 5 hours in the interview just to let him know that he needed to submitted an I601. The I601 was rec'vd on April 03, 2013. Because its getting close to the 4 month point, I have been checking but it still says Initial Review. I would like to know if there is a number that you can actually talk to someone regarding an I601 and I would like to hear from other cases that has I601 in process thur the Nebraska Service Center.

Thanks and hope to hear about your cases.

Eunice

Same here. My husband had his i601 recived on may 21st. we havent gotten to the 4 month point yet but we called on July 18th and were told they are only processing papers from Feb 16th. So we come to face the fact that he could be home next year and have heard the consulant in Juarez could take another 90 days to issue the visa once its approved. We are expecting our 2nd baby in October and know he wont be home to see her. But its a waiting game with them and the best you can do is wait. Hope and Pray to God all goes well. Believe me there are so many people in the same situation and nothing you can do. The more you push them the longer the wait could be. We just stay positive and its so difficult to do when all you have ever known is each other. But i pray for people going through the same thing me and husband are. Best of luck to you and keep just praying.

Thank you for your information and I also wish you the best of luck. Do any of you have a number that you can actually speak to a live agent to see what date they are filing and ask questions?

You call the number on the letters you received in the mail. But call Wednesday-Friday. And you will need to ask to speak to an immigration officer. They can give you some more information on your case.

i think it took about 2 weeks for me to get my receipt my mail, after that i registered to get case updates online at USCIS. From what i hear its taking between 6-8 months to get any type of answer. I dont know if all the service centers have the same time line. Good Luck to you!!!

Last week i checked the processing time for the Nebraska Service Center online and it stated that they were on date April 02, 2013. My husband I601 was rec'ved on 04/03/13 and this week it say that they are on date May 2, 2013. His case online still say initial review and it has not been updated at all. I have not rec'vd any other documents from them the only thing i have is my recepit. I was able to submit an e-request this week, but it can take up to 30 days to get an answer. Am confused does it take a while to update cases online or are they really behide. I dont know what to think anymore. unsure.png

Cases seem to be taking 5-8 mths, after 5 mths

an e-request can be filed via phone or online, some

are getting RFEs at 5-6 mths. Currently they R

officially at May 2, but some ppl from June have

gotten answers...I guess the easier cases, they roll

over to the next mth every 16th, comes Dec 16, they

will be on June, with a few lucky July ppl thrown in

with easier cases like overstays & VD alone.

All the ppl whose package went in prior to May 2

can now do e-request

Hopeful11,

here is another forum and thread that people are talking and giving support on the waiver wait http://immigrate2us.net/forum/showthread.php?118448-I-601-Lockbox-NSC-Discussion-Thread-(16)

On December 4, 2013, an additional opinion has been requested regarding your case. Processing on your case will resume upon receipt of the additional opinion. You will be notified by mail when further action is taken on your case. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.
