So NVC received my approved i129f today and I am just wondering from others recent experiences how long did it take before you were assigned a new case number and were forwarded to the appropriate consulate.

I'm seeing a lot of people, recently, who are receiving their case numbers 8-14 days after NOA2, so like a day or two after NVC receipt. And it heads to your consulate 1-2 days after that. So its not at NVC long for K1 visas.

I would call tomorrow to get case number so you can do the next steps.

Congratulations, you're over the longest/biggest hump.

I'm waiting for NVC as well. When did you get your approval and how do you know they have it? Thought you get your case number when you call and they tell you they have received it.

Full speed ahead!!!

I called today and they said they had just received it today and they do not have a case number because they are still putting it in the system and that it can take up to 20 business days.

Our case is a little odd. We were VSC that was sent to TSC. We were told by USCIS tier 2 rep our petition was approved on 7/6 but didn't receive our hard copy for 3 weeks. When it came, the Notice Date was actually 7/25. I received an email from USCIS that it was sent to NVC on 7/26. I called the NVC on 8/1 and they had already received our case, assigned a case number and sent it off to the embassy in Kiev.

07/26/2013 - received email that USCIS shipped case to NVC
